COMICS: Yet Another Post "Fear Itself" Marvel Teaser - "Shattered Heroes"!

Announced at Comic Con, Marvel have unveiled a teaser for the aftermath of "Fear Itself", along with some ominous quotes from Tom Brevoort: "While the victory is won, the aftermath of it will set each of our heroes reeling."

"While the victory is won, the aftermath of it will set each of our heroes reeling. The war is over, and the warriors return home, carrying with them scars of battle, both physical and mental. Now the cost will be tallied, the casualties buried and mourned, the rubble swept up and carted away. But the damage to our heroes isn't easily repaired, the wounds not easily healed. Decisions are made and lives are changed - can shattered heroes find renewed courage to go on?" - Tom Brevoort

Also announced at Comic Con in case you missed it at the time was "Battle Scars," a post-event branding for the Marvel Universe titles, similar to Dark Reign and the Heroic Age. Throughout the run of the branding, a number of "Shattered Heroes" one-shots will be released, focusing on the after-effects "Fear Itself" has on the Marvel heroes.

Iron Man looks like he is about to collapse with the next step. When did Hulk get bling? When did he need bling?

I like how Tanarus is hiding there in the background trying to pretend like he isn't the out-of-place newbie temping for whatever extended leave Thor is on.

Why does everyone love John Romita Jr so much? I think his art looks terrible. I'm not looking for photo realism in my comic books, but I don't want cartoons either.

The Battle Scars logo looks terrible. Looks like the logo to some old dungeons and dragons genre PC game.

JR Jr draws the fugliest Iron Man. Hell, he draws the fugliest everything. I'll admit his storytelling and composition are strong, but ugh. Everybody looks like cardboard cutouts. You have to wonder if Marvel would've ever hired him if he wasn't John Romita's son.

JRJr's art was great during his work on Amazing Spider-Man with JMS and almost as good in both volumes of Kick-Ass...his recent work (like in the teaser above) has become really sketchy and sloppy though which is a real shame, although I do still love his work.

I've never been a fan of Romita's work. Even his classic DD run was never special to me. I understand he's a classic artist, but it just doesn't do it for me and never has.

@marvel, wait as long as you can, its not very good, only 2 books left till its over. the xmen line is getting very good of fear itself, but the main book is slow as hell.

and im not liking that hippy hulk up there, hes the same as in wolverine vs marvel

His faces show lots of emotion. He is great with epic battle scenes.

But most importantly

John Romita Jr meets deadlines.

@ScarletVendetta Oh, ok. I thought so. I bought that book after I saw the Movie. Thought these characters looks similar. Did they ever finish the whole Kickass2 series?
