starting in June with a Point One issue, followed by a proper #1 in July — will feature a new character wielding the mantle of the Spirit of Vengeance, and this time it's a female, as revealed during Marvel's "Next Big Thing" conference call with the press Thursday.

Blaze will work with the new Ghost Rider, who is a character completely new to the Marvel Universe with no prior connection to Johnny Blaze.

Williams said that the ongoing series won't be entirely different in tone from the recently wrapped three-part back-up story he wrote in Amazing Spider-Man, teaming Ghost Rider and Spidey.

A Fear Itself tie-in will bring the new Ghost Rider into conflict with the Red Skull's daughter Sin, one of the primary antagonists in that story. Williams said that he does have "loose plans" for '90s Ghost Rider Danny Ketch, but you won't see that character in the initial arc.
