After two lackluster issues, we are hit with yet another issue of Amazing Spider-Man. How does this one fare you ask? Read on.

This issue continues Spidey's adventures with the Fantastic.....I mean, Future Foundation. Besides the ending, the main problem with this issue is that it feels like it should be an issue of FF, not Amazing. With that said, this issue is still miles ahead of the previous two. It's still a fun comic.

I don't know, Spidey's part of too many teams. The the thing I didn't like about this issue was that, well.....he was always quipping a joke! Sure, I don't mind.....to a certain point. I like Spidey's serious years back in the late 80's to mid 2000's.

The art's an improvement over the last. I'm not really a big fan of last issue's retro style.

Oh, I really didn't like Carlie in this one. I mean, I can't blame her for feeling a little rejected, but getting drunk and getting the "Goblin cult" tattoo is not exactly the brightest idea. I'm sorry, but she's now my least favorite love interest in the Spideyverse.

We also get a two page prelude to the upcoming event Spider-Island. It's an interesting teaser. We also get a continuation of "Spider-Man Meets Ghost Rider." A fun little backup.

In closing, not a bad comic, just not great. However, if the ending's any indication, the next issue should be epic.

I give this issue a 3/5.

good review dude....I full heartedly agree with you on Carlie and her over reaction. she makes the over assumption that everyone is lying to her. Why would Lily reveal she was a super villain....thats the point of a secret Identity. Her father faked his death to protect BOTH of them...and now rather than CALLING Peter to have a talk about their relationship she is taking an illogical step.....I think that she will not go through with it after realizing that Peter is a good guy and does care about her or that its a Henna Tattoo....still she is hard to figure out, in the beginning of this new story line she was a fun character and looked like she is going to be the most important woman in his life....but here it seems out of character, is Slott trying to make her unlikable so we can see a potential reunion of MJ and Pete?...who knows....all I know is that I do agree that the Amazing Spider-man should be about Spider-man, and not his latest join with another team. In Fact I hope after Fear Itself we see him leave these teams and focus on protecting NYC the best he can on his own

Thanks guys.

@CC87 Wow, you might be right about that. I can't see much people liking Carlie after this issue.
