Who is PEPPER POTTS?
Virginia "Pepper" Potts is a Marvel Comics supporting character and a love interest of Iron Man. She first appeared in Tales of Suspense #45 (September 1963) and was created by Stan Lee and Don Heck.
First Appearance
Pepper, who came from the secretarial pool, fixed an accounting mistake by Stark, which landed her the job of executive assistant. Pepper is originally infatuated with Tony and responds to the attentions of Stark's chauffeur and assistant Happy Hogan with caustic remarks. She would later get Stark's growing affection, which would put her in a love triangle between Stark and Hogan. However, she eventually decided to marry Happy.
No longer looking like a drab secretary
However, marital bliss was not for Pepper and Happy, and the two got a divorce, apparently due to an affair committed by Pepper.
However, Pepper and Happy would later reconcile but this reunion ended in a tragedy. When Hogan was badly injured fighting a supervillain and the only thing that is keeping him alive is his life support system. Pepper made a request to Tony, to let his suffering end and turn-off the life support system, whether Tony complied is still debatable but Hogan still ended up dead.
After the events of the "superhuman Civil War", Pepper Potts joined the Fifty State Initiative as a member of 'The Order', a government sanctioned superhero team operating within California. She used the alias Hera and uses advanced computer hardware and prosthetics to monitor and coordinate the team's missions. Upon the absorption of The Order into the Initiative, Tony Stark offers her a job on the special projects team at Stark Enterprises, which she accepts.
After her stint with the Order, Pepper Potts returned working as a personal secretary of Tony Stark. In one of Stark's party a villain caused an explosion which caused severe multiple internal injuries to Miss Potts. Stark went on to saving her by essentially turning her into a cyborg. Pepper survives the procedure, but it is uncertain when, or if, the magnet can ever be removed. Pepper's body is further enhanced with new cybernetics and upgrades to the magnet, and she fears she is losing her humanity and has become a weapon. However, Tony admits that her bionics are not Starktech or weapons-based, but from Danny Rand's design for a new battery. Comforted by this, Pepper embraces her enhancements, exploring her new magnetic powered abilities, like gliding over magnetic lines. She would later acquire her own suit of armor designed for him by Tony. While wearing this suit she would use the moniker Rescue.

POWERS & ABILITIESNote: Due to the nature of comicbooks being an on-going tale, the character's powers along with his appearance, is in a constant state of flux.

In her Rescue armor, she is capable of the similar powers as Iron Man, such as superhuman strength and durability, flight, and repulsor blasts. It also has an A.I. version of Jarvis to assist her and answer questions.

To those who are making requests, check first [here] because I might have done an article on the character already. If I have not, please be patient, I will get on it as soon as possible (but consider the fact that I spend hours writing one of these articles). Try to limit your request to characters that already have been adapted to live media, so that the feature will at least be relevant to the site – Comic Book Movie(though I include TV characters). Characters in Manga or Anime’, I am not particularly familiar of, I am not discounting these characters but it will probably take some time before I write a feature on them because I have to read up on these characters. Thank you for reading these articles! If there are errors on the feature article above, blame it on my age, humanity and ignorance. Just be sure to check the comment section for the corrections, any error I made will surely be pointed out and corrected by much bigger geeks (because there will always be a bigger geek out there). -This has been PollMaster inviting you to the geekside. MABUHAY CBM and Godspeed!
