Avengers Vs. X-Men was certainly a success in terms of sales, but how did it fare with you, the readers? The reaction from critics has certainly been mixed, with the series criticised for unconvincing characterisation and an uneven tone. As a fan, I certainly wasn't happy with how it turned out. Why? Well, it seems that the whole purpose of Avengers Vs. X-Men was to capitalise on the success of box office juggernaut Marvel's The Avengers, leaving us with countless titles featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes in "Marvel NOW!", even if it means throwing away years worth of work other writers have done on the likes of Cyclops and Magneto.
