Summary

The Avengers finally confront Old Nick Fury in a frickin’ battle royale where the smack gets thoroughly laid down on Cap and the gang, as they demand answers for all of his “extra curricular activities. After the battle, Fury makes his way to the moon, we discover who killed the Watcher, and are left on the cusp of learning a final bombshell secret.

What I Liked

✔Dialogue was great as Fury attempted to justify his actions to the Avengers and Cap sought answers

✔Great artwork and shading that matched the crime thriller/mystery tone of the story

✔Rocket Raccoon makes an appearance, which is always a plus

✔Great cliffhanger

What I Didn’t Like

✘The revelation of who killed Watcher was a bit disappointing

✘Old Man Fury manhandling the Avengers seemed a bit cheesy, but lines up well with Fury’s character

✘Pacing was a bit quick, but that’s mostly due to the good writing and desire to find out what happens next

Themes

  • What’s done in the dark has a way of being brought into the light eventually

  • Keeping secrets, especially about others, usually ends in disaster

I was wondering the same thing. Obviously that moment is a lead-in to the whole "unworthy" series and the passing of the torch over to the female Thor. I hope they reveal that soon.
