Like many of you, I've found it hard to enjoy Superior Spider-Man. While there's no doubt that the stories have often been compelling, it's a status quo which has outstayed its welcome in my eyes. We all knew Peter Parker would return eventually - I don't think anyone was surprised when it was revealed to be in time for the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - and as interesting as it has been to consider how Peter will deal with the ramifications of Otto Octavius' actions, many of them feel like they run the risk of damaging Spider-Man's legacy. We'll have to wait and see, but in a surprise twist, Peter actually returned in today's issue of Superior Spider-Man!
We're still left with a lot of questions of course. Has Doctor Octopus truly purged all of his memories for Peter's mind? Where is his body? How will Peter convince The Avengers and his friends that he wasn't responsible for Spider-Man's actions of late? What will he do about SpOck's newfound love Anna Marie? We'll have to wait for issue #31 to find out...
