Although the Kickstarter Campaign for
Marvel United -- a board game created by Spin Master Games and CMON -- is the first Marvel game to hit Kickstarter, judging by the powerful reception and support it has received it likely will not be the last. Having met the goal it set in the first 31 minutes after going live, this campaign has reached 40 stretch goals already, allowing a bevy of additional content for players.
The latest to be announced is the
Sinister Six Expansion Pack which will see the iconic villain team from the comics join forces to bring even more fun to
Marvel United. While there have been many incarnations of this line-up over the years, the members of this group in the game will be Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, Vulture, Sandman, and Mysterio.
Marvel United's Kickstarter Campaign has already reached over $1.9 million in backing from pledges, and though it will likely surpass $2 million, it will soon come to an end. This means that anyone looking to take advantage of the bonuses received through backing will want to head over to the
site and do so in the next 48 hours.
Among the many donation levels that you'll want to take a look at is the Ultimate Pledge at $190 for the most hardcore Marvel fanatics. This level allows backers to receive the core box of
Marvel United, all promos, all six Expansion Packs including
Sinister Six, and access to all of the stretch goals released during the campaign.

It’s time to become the hero you were always meant to be. Marvel United is a fast-paced, cooperative game for two to four players. Set up your Mission Board and select one of three included villains (Red Skull, Taskmaster and Ultron) to battle! Each player chooses a hero from the five included options (Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Black Widow) and plays their hero’s unique powers from the Hero Card against the villain.
Pay close attention to your fellow heroes’ moves and coordinate your efforts -- your powers and abilities can be strategically combined to thwart the villain’s Masterplan! If you solve your Mission and defeat the villain, everyone wins! If the villain completes their Master plan, the heroes all lose.
Marvel United provides 40-60 minutes of game play and is for ages 14+.
