New Trailer For ANNIE Hits

New Trailer For ANNIE Hits

Did you know "Little Orphan Annie" actually started out as a daily American comic strip back in 1924? Well, now ya do! This new take on the classic musical version is directed by Will Gluck and stars Quvenzhané Wallis in the title role and Jamie Foxx as Will Stacks ("Daddy" Warbucks in the original).

Annie is a young, happy foster kid who's also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they'd be back for her someday, it's been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan. But everything's about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks - advised by his brilliant VP, Grace and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor, Guy - makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Stacks believes he's her guardian angel, but Annie's self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it's the other way around.

Annie will be with us on December 19, 2014.

Where the MBJ Johnny Storm haters at? This can't be Annie because she's black right? It's core to her character.

I'd say it has more to do with trying to cash in on the rising star of the adorable Quvenzhané Wallis than anything else. But then, I'm not racist.

I don't t feel comfortable with a little girl calling a black guy "Daddy Warbucks".

@ Dellamorte1872 - Yep, that's why they made it all black since we know how well majority black cast movies in terms of box office revenue.

Some people are such fools.

I'm watching this just for the little girl's hair. I love it.

I'm sure I'll be annoyed through it. I don't really like musicals .

Each time Obama got elected, we thought we were voting for him to be the next American Idol. Clay Atkin should be President.

i remember seeing this trailer when i went to see tasm 2 and someone in the theater yelled out "IF YOU WANT TO SEE SPIDER-MAN WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO SEE THIS?!" and i can't say i disagree with him. I don't get the point of an annie remake but whatever hollywood + will smith = money most of the time so that could be their way of thinking. It was probably marketed at tasm cause jaimie foxx was in both movies, despite them both being entirely different
