Some of these I don't agree are copycats, but it's their video. Express your opion on this subject. Also did they miss any copycat characters?

I hate when people say one of them copied a character from another. Just because DC made Flash, Marvel isn't allowed to make a character with super speed? And just because DC made Green Arrow, Marvel isn't allowed to make a character with a bow and arrow? So does that mean every movie with a character that uses a bow and arrow is a rip-off of Green Arrow? No. It doesn't.

Couldn't watch the video. Did you mention that both Fantastic Four and, later, The Avengers were both directly attempting to cash in on Justice League as the result of a golf game between Liebowitz and Freeman?

@Abary, face it, they copied the characters. Denying it doesn't make it any less true. But, I don't think anyone is saying that they can't do that. Obviously, neither company (as far as I know) has ever tried to sue for copyright infringement or tried to stop the other from using those characters. In some of these cases, the copies ended up being different enough to be fairly unique, and let's face it, you can only come up with so many different super powers.

I will say that the Ironman/Batman comparison was very forced. Calling Ironman a copy is just stupid, especially just based on him being rich. Ironman's parents weren't killed in front of him, he chose his name and suit of armor more by accident than on purpose, his personality is totally different, and he has a steady girlfriend. Plus, he doesn't have a teenage sidekick.

Also, let's face it, most of these characters, even some that are considered the most original, are at least partly based on mythological characters from ancient times. Hercules, Achilles, the Greek and Roman gods, and so on.

I liked the video. Lots of people are going to claim justice league is a knock off of avengers now though because avengers came out first.

Marvel may have came up with their own answers to DC characters but, in my honest opinion, Marvel has always done it better and made their characters far more interesting.
