Why Marvel Knows How to Make a Comic Book Movie Correctly

Ever wonder why every studio struggles to reach the perfection of a Marvel Studios movie?

Marvel Gets Costumes Right

Marvel Studios get costumes and character design. They have since The Incredible Hulk. Even with the recent Baron Zemo, they decided to omit his sword and purple hood, which was a brilliant idea! Why squander Baron Zemo's only appearance in the MCU with such a silly costume design, a dated design at that! Such a brilliant idea from Marvel Studios. Even with the recent Shocker costume, instead of opting for a skintight, dated spandex look for Shocker, they gave him combat fatigues and leather! Truly a brilliant decision on Marvel's part! And making his costume look like it came out of Arrow was just another great costuming choice showing that this villain is a very low-level street character.

Others Don't

Sigh. What were those lasagna-eaters at Fox thinking when they made the Psylocke costume? Instead of opting for a newer updated look, they instead did a 1:1 adaption! Who wanted that!? They opted for a tasteless, exposing costume for poor Olivia Munn. And of course due to this costume change, she ended up being a horrible character! She could've been a flavorful character like Maria Hill or Sharon Carter! Two brilliantly designed characters with deeply interesting stories. It's disappointing Fox would make such a poor costume with no thoughts on if it was truly comic accurate or not.

Marvel Gets Casting Right

The casting of Zendaya as Mary Jane is a welcome addition to the Spiderman cast. A very tasteful update to the character. Honestly, if she plays the character well, what's the problem? It's absurd to think that it would make an impact on her character. What are you? A bigot? A RACIST?

And the casting of Tony Revolri as Flash Thompson is an equally brilliant choice. Having a buff, football star bully is so dated. Why opt for that when you can have a 5'1 small child as your high school bully? It makes so much sense because Tom Holland is literally a foot taller and it would make sense of such bullying! Personally, I am very excited for Tony Revelori to star as Agent Venom!

Others Don't

As soon as Fox cast Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, Fant4stic was dead on arrival. How could Fox cast this man for the role of a blue eyed, blonde man like Johnny Storm? Does Fox know NOTHING about character design? Do they care NOTHING for the history of this character? How would you feel, if your favorite comic character, be it spiderman, batman, or superman, were RUINED? It's baffling that Fox would completely miss the parts of Johnny's character being a reckless hothead who is also blonde and white.

you too have known loss

and that loss torments you still

you hoped hatred might someday replace the pain

but it never goes away

it makes a man hideous

inside and out

wouldnt you agree?
