Warner Bros. Hobbit panel went down a storm last night, with some great footage screened (you can read a description a few articles down) and a crowd-pleasing Q & A session. As well as the confirmed guests - Andy Serkis, Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Peter Jackson, Philippa Boyens and Richard Armitage - Elijah Wood also dropped by. Check out the vid below....

The adventure follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers.

Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever…Gollum.

Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s "precious" ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities … A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.

I like Elijah Wood in Wilfred. In my opinion that is a very underrated comedy. Anyway I look forward to this movie, and can't wait to see what all the fps fuss is about.

@RFBD-Agreed! I'm so worried/curious to witness ultra HD 48 fps 3D!!!

After reading those reactions tho awhile back, James Cameron's 'The Abyss' comes to mind...

I trust PJ though and reserve my judgment for mine own eyes to examine.

looked like an extremely fun panel to be at ! I wish it wasn't in 3d though , I think PJ should have tried to use the imax tech a little more with some of the landscapes he films however I understand with the amount of cgi he incorporates in his films that it may not be as plausible or cost effective .
