The First Season Of Marvel And Netflix's DAREDEVIL Will Be Released On Blu-ray Next Month

It looks like we finally have an official Blu-ray release date for Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil, which was actually expected to hit stores this month. No special feature details just yet, unfortunately...

It was previously reported that the first season of Daredevil was actually set to be made available on home release from October 3, but obviously that never happened. However, Though it's already out in The UK, Marvel has now officially announced that almost 2 years after its debut of Netflix, The Man Without Fear will be making his way to Blu-ray (no word on DVD) on November 8 in North America.

A list of the special features has not been made available just yet, but we do have some cover art which you can check out below.

Marvel's Daredevil, or simply Daredevil, is an American web television series created for Netflix by Drew Goddard, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and is the first in a series of shows that will lead up to a Defenders crossover miniseries. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios and Goddard Textiles, with DeKnight Productions for the first season. Steven S. DeKnight serves as showrunner on the first season, with Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez taking over for the second; Goddard serves as a consultant on both seasons.

It's already out here in the UK. No special features AT ALL. Seems like a waste of money unless you're a completionist.

You know, as I think about it more, this may be the best Netflix show so far. It drags quite a bit (as does JJ and LC) but the villain/hero dynamic was much more credible than any other one. The writing was also pretty great.

Those first two Daredevil episodes are still the best out of any CBTV show. Sucks that Drew Goddard didn't do more.

Season 2 was just so eh... The first four episodes with Punisher are [frick]ing brilliant, but once Elektra joins it becomes incredibly... flat. Hell, the figt scenes lost a bit of steam from the first season.

I really just hope they keep the same budget but do it in eight episodes. Would allow for much tighter narratives. Hell, it worked wonders for Stranger Things.

I feel like the Netflix model kind of just focuses on seasons rather than episodes. HBO, FX and AMC all release their episodes individually, so the individual episodes tend to be a bit stronger. The Netflix shows are meant for binge watching, and I think that kind of ensures quite a bit is dragged out or not cared about as much.
