Justice League (November 17th, 2017)

If somehow you don't know anything about Justice League by now, then it's best you stick around. Zack Snyder finished directing Justice League, but due to a personal tragedy, Snyder had to step away, handing the reigns over to director Joss Whedon, who is finishing things up in the editing department.

The film was written by Chris Terrio and stars Ben Affleck as The Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Henry Cavill as Superman, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, Amber Heard as Mera, and Ciarán Hinds as the film's main antagonist, Steppenwolf.

Aquaman (December 21st, 2018)

Aquaman has moved around a bit on the calendar, but now that it's placed its feet firmly on December, things seem to be going well. Directed by James Wan and written by Will Beall from a story by James Wan and Geoff Johns, Aquaman will see the return of Jason Momoa and Amber Heard as the King and Queen of Atlantis in the underwater hero's first solo film.

The film also stars Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Ludi Lin as Murk, and Michael Beach as Jesse Kane. 

SHAZAM (April 5th, 2019)

Finally out of development hell, SHAZAM is being brought to life through the help of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who is set to play the film's main antagonist, Black Adam. Henry Gayden is currently writing it and director David F. Sandberg is rumored to be in talks to helm the film.

What makes SHAZAM interesting is that The Rock’s own production company Seven Bucks Productions is producing it together with New Line Cinema, a subsidiary of Warner Bros., raising questions as to whether or not the film would be a part of the DCEU, which was later confirmed that it would be.

Cyborg (April 3rd, 2020)

Originally a member of the Teen Titans, Cyborg joined the Justice League in 2011 at the start of DC Comics' New 52 storyline, and will now make his big screen debut in Zack Snyder's Justice League. There is little to nothing on the Cyborg film, other than the fact that Ray Fisher will return as the titular hero with Joe Morton as his father, Silas Stone. 

At one point, it was heavily rumored that Ray Fisher would reprise his role as Cyborg to team up with Ezra Miller in his upcoming Flash film. 

Green Lantern Corps. (July 24th, 2020)

The 2011 Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern Hal Jordan is a movie everyone has been trying to forget, even Warner Bros, as they've decided to hold off on giving the hero and the intergalactic police force their much-needed redemption until 2020. However, there have been rumors that the Corps will make their debut in Zack Snyder's Justice League this November.
 
Being written by David Goyer and Justin Rhodes, the film will follow Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and John Stewart as they do their best in trying to keep peace in the space sectors of the DC Universe. 

The Flash (TBA)

Writing about The Flash is hard. This film's production has been nothing but an emotional rollercoaster with directors coming and going. Originally, Warner Bros. were looking to directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller to take the helm, especially since they were the ones who wrote the story treatment for the film, but the duo's schedule kept things from moving forward. Warner Bros. soon moved on to Seth Grahame-Smith to write and direct the film, but they eventually parted ways due to "creative differences." Not long after that, Rick Famuyiwa signed on as director, bringing on Kiersey Clemons to take on the role of Iris West. You probably guessed what happened next: Famuyiwa ended up parting ways due to "creative differences."

For now, Ezra Miller will return as the fastest man alive alongside Kiersey Clemons and Billy Crudup making their debut as Iris West and Henry Allen in Justice League. Meanwhile, as the film looks for a new director, Joby Harold has signed on to do write a whole new script for the film.

The Batman (TBA)

When Warner Bros. cast Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader; they were hoping that the critically acclaimed director would helm the hero's standalone film. Well, they got what they wanted... for a while, at least. Affleck, who was writing the script with Geoff Johns, eventually stepped down as director. Matt Reeves later stepped in and is now starting from scratch, which might not bode to well for actor Joe Manganiello, as he was set to go up against the Dark Knight as Deathstroke.

The film stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, and (maybe) Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke.

Justice League 2 (TBA)

If you've been following along, you can clearly see a lot has changed since Warner Bros. and DC announced their original slate of films in 2014. Initially, Justice League was supposed to be split into two parts. The first film was set to release in its current release date and the second in 2019. Things eventually changed when Johns and Berg took over the DC Films division.

The film currently has no release date, though Zack Snyder is still signed on to helm the sequel, which is also being written by Chris Terrio, but that could all change.

Man of Steel 2 (TBA)

Many consider Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman to be a direct sequel to Man of Steel, which it technically is, but given that the film doesn't solely focus on Superman, it's not a true sequel.
 
Back in 2014, Warner Bros. announced that there would be a sequel to Man of Steel without a definitive release date. Things sort of picked up for the project when Henry Cavill's manager revealed that Cavill would take on a more active role in the film's development through his new production company, Promethean. Shortly after, rumors surfaced that Matthew Vaughn was in talks to direct the film. 

For now, we'll just have to wait and see how things turn out for the Man of Tomorrow when he makes his triumphant return in Justice League.

Suicide Squad 2 (TBA)

Being one of the most talked about films of 2016, Suicide Squad was plagued with rumors and talks of its production being a total mess, and it certainly showed in the final product. This, however, was not much of a concern for Warner Bros., seeing how they green-lit the sequel almost immediately after they saw the box office numbers and all the money it was making through merchandise, despite the film being critically panned.

It was recently announced that Zak Penn would be writing the sequel and that Jaume Collet-Saura is now the frontrunner to direct after talks with Mel Gibson fell through, while they look for a potential 2019 release date. 

Deadshot (TBA)

Will Smith shined in his role as the deadly assassin Deadshot in David Ayer's Suicide Squad. As the leader of Task Force X, Floyd Lawton seemed to be the most relatable member of the group, and quite frankly, the one that had the most cohesive storyline. It's just that now we have a Deadshot movie in the works and it looks like no one wants one.

As of now, the Deadshot standalone is in development, but Warner Bros. is looking to see how things turn out after Suicide Squad 2 before they decide to give Deadshot his own movie.

Gotham City Sirens (TBA)

Even with all the negative press about David Ayer's Suicide Squad being hijacked and torn apart by a trailer company (I still can't believe this is true), the director is still eager to continue in helping build the DCEU, and he's doing so by taking on Gotham City Sirens, which turned out to be the brainchild of Margot Robbie.Robbie, who is set to return as Harley Quinn, brought on writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet to write the script, later bringing on Ayer.

Gotham City Sirens will focus on the DC Comic's greatest female villains: Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. Ayer has also teased Black Mask as a potential antagonist for the sirens.

Dark Universe/Justice League Dark (TBA)

Just like The Flash, Dark Universe has not had the best of luck when it comes to holding onto a a director. Guillermo del Toro was attached to the project for a few years, while writing a script that included John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, Swamp Thing, Madame Xanadu, and even Etrigan the Demon. 

Of course, del Toro later stepped down, leaving room for Doug Liman to take over as director. Liman didn't last long either, as he also walked away from the project mainly due to scheduling conflicts. 

Things are still alive and kicking for Dark Universe, though. Producer Scott Rudin is determined to get things off the ground, with a script being written by Michael Gilio.

Black Adam (TBA)

Back when they announced SHAZAM, the Black Adam standalone film wasn't part of the original plan, but after a meeting with Geoff Johns and Jon Berg, the Rock revealed that Black Adam would get his time to shine as the ruler of Kahndaq. Shazam who?

Anyway, an official release date still hasn't been set and the Rock hasn't really made it clear whether or not Black Adam would be an origin film or take place in modern day, following the events of SHAZAM. I don't know about you but a prequel that shows how Teth-Adam became Black Adam and broke bad is something I would pay your average ticket prices to see!

Nightwing (TBA)

Right after the premiere of his critically acclaimed film, The Lego Batman Movie, director Chris McKay approached Warner Bros., pitching his idea for a solo Nightwing film set in the DC Extended Universe, and apparently they loved it. McKay is now working on the film, with Bill Dubuque penning the script, and if McKay’s recent tweets are any indication of the kind of Dick Grayson we'll be getting, fans are sure to love him.

Batgirl (TBA)

Following the announcement of the Nightwing solo film, Warner Bros. announced yet another Batman related addition to their ever-growing slate of DC Films with Batgirl.

The film is being written and directed by Joss Whedon and while there have been rumors that they’re currently casting Barbara Gordon, it seems like things are being put on hold until Whedon finishes up with Justice League. This truly feels like the Batman Cinematic Universe, doesn’t it?

Wonder Woman 2 (TBA)

Now officially the highest grossing DCEU film, Wonder Woman was the first step in the right direction for the DCEU. It would be no surprise to anyone if Warner Bros. decided to make a sequel since the first film is still going strong at the box office. 

While there’s still no official confirmation from Warner Bros. on the Wonder Woman sequel, Zack and Deborah Snyder announced that the second film is currently in development during the film’s Shanghai premiere. Patty Jenkins has yet to sign on to direct the sequel, but seeing how her and Geoff Johns are currently working together to write the script, with rumors suggesting that the film would take place during the Cold War, it’s only a matter of time.
