Cable And Domino Get The Spotlight In 14 New Hi-Res Images From DEADPOOL 2

Fox has released fourteen new images from the upcoming Deadpool sequel featuring the Merc with the Mouth, Cable, Domino, and the various other mutants who will be fleshing out the world of the X-Men here.

This weekend, all eyes are on Avengers: Infinity War, the biggest superhero movie of all-time. However, don't forget that we only have a few weeks to wait until Deadpool 2 reaches theaters and Fox has provided a nice little reminder of that today with the debut of fourteen awesome hi-res images.

They focus on a variety of characters, including new additions Cable and Domino as well as familiar faces like the Merc with the Mouth (obviously), Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and many more.

With box office projections pointing to Deadpool 2 being a hit, there's a very good chance this franchise could live on even if the X-Men do arrive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as planned. We'll have to wait and see on that front but Marvel Studios would be foolish to say goodbye to these characters. So, to check out the full list of images, all you need to do is click on the buttons below.

There was some controversy surrounding the casting of Zazie Beetz as Domino but to say she looks perfect for the role would be an understatement and trailers point to her stealing the show.

Here, we see Negasonic Teenage Warhead alongside a character many believe is Surge. In the comics, the young mutant requires gauntlet-like regulators to fully control her electric powers.

Blind Al didn't have a particularly significant role in the first movie so it will be interesting seeing whether or not that's expanded on in the follow-up and fleshed out to a significant degree.

This mutant has now seemingly been identified as "Hot Stuff," a new creation for the X-Men Universe. That seems like a waste but something tells me that there's more to him than meets the eye.

Dopinder helped deliver a lot of laughs in Deadpool so it will be interesting seeing whether or not he manages to do the same here or if he winds up being a one trick pony outstaying his welcome.

What's the Merc with the Mouth up to here? It's a pretty random shot so it's hard to say but he's clearly been through the wringer based on how taped up he is. Is his healing factor not working?

Negasonic Teenage Warhead was the unexpected MVP of Deadpool and it looks like she'll be given an even larger role in the sequel as she unleashes her powers as a member of Wade Wilson's X-Force.

Why are all these people chasing Deadpool? We don't know but the Merc with the Mouth appears to be pretty damn worried about the consequences if they wind up catching up with him!

Shockingly, it appears as if Cable is going to be Deadpool 2's big bad. The question is, will he end up being redeemed by the time all is said and done as a new villain emerges as the sequel's true baddie?

This is an awesome shot of Domino but based on the reaction of those two people in the background, it appears as if someone has just been sent hurtling through the woodchipper. Ouch!

It's thought that this shot features Deadpool attempting to make things right with Colossus in a bid to get him to join X-Force. Will he say "yes" or tell the Merc with the Mouth where to stick his offer?

Josh Brolin steals the show as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and it seems as if there's a very good chance he'll wind up doing the same in Deadpool 2 next month based on what we've seen.

Is Wade Wilson joining the X-Men? If nothing else, it appears as if Deadpool could become an honorary member of the team in the sequel before he ultimately forms his own squad with X-Force.

This behind the scenes image shows Ryan Reynolds' Merc with the Mouth deep in conversation with director David Leitch. The filmmaker replaces Tim Miller after some classic "creative differences."

If there's one thing I'm worried they might overdo from the first movie, it'd be Dopinder. I don't know why.

OFF TOPIC: So I rewatched GOTG Vol 2 today and fair to say, I liked it much better than I did initially. I was one of those who were dissapointed in the sequel and after watching it again after a long time with a new perspective, I really loved it! There were so many moments that made my eyes watery. That iconic "father; daddy" line really hit me this time and those fireworks... oh boy. There's only three times that I've actually teared up while watching CBMs; Logan's death, Spidey reveal in Civil War trailer 2, and Infinity War trailer 1. I'm watching IW this sunday but unfortunately I've already been spoiled which is sad considering I haven't watched a single TV spot and tried to avoid everything possible. Hopefully, IW hits my heart, which I think it'll.

@MarDCel - I actually love Vol. 2 as well. The biggest problem with that movie was the comedy (It didn't always land and felt overdone a lot of times) but other than that, I had no other problems with it.

@Toecutter - Same. Comedy was one of the gripes I had with this movie when I watched it initially. I thought the first one had the PERFECT balance between drama and humor. All said, now I don't dislike this movie at all, instead like it a lot more.

Does anyone else feel we have gotten way too many characters with pyrokinetic powers from the Fox-Verse?

After reading up a little on the history of domino and checking out a few comics with her I literally can't believe they're trying to sell her as "Domino" in the film. Very little love was given to her design.

Man, after Infinity War, which was AWESOME, I am so ready for Deadpool 2. More Josh Brolin. He rocks. Infinity War and this are my two most anticipated summer movies, by far!

Oh, and in the non superhero genre, Soldado (Sicario 2). Also starring Brolin. Ha.
