The film has been in limbo for quite some time, last thing we heard was from Tim Miller saying that it hasn't moved forward yet. But according to Rob Liefeld on Twitter he says: " Deadpool #1 out today! I celebrated by viewing killer Deadpool film footage with Robert Kirkman- Oh and Tim Miller is a genius!!". He also states: "Tim Miller's Blur Studios is amazing - the work they do is incredible - Not just Deadpool, but Elder Scrolls, Star Wars, Arkham cinematics".

This sounds exciting nevertheless, but this really isn't going to move things forward, since FOX is recently working on The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Hopefully the film will get greenlit by FOX in the near future.

What are your thoughts? I would like to see the film come to fruition but I don't see that happening, leave your thoughts below.

Totally read that one part wrong:

"working on The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past...."

I saw:

"working on Wolverine and the X-Men: Days of Future Past..."

Biiiiiiiiiiiiiig difference. Thought they were putting Wolverine in it and calling it what they should have called the first 3 "Wolverine and the X-Men"

let's leave him out of this one, huh?

@Cosmic

Well GR for everything that it is, more than doubled its budget on both outings. And if cash in performers like Cage and Jovovich in 'Alice Under the Umbrella of Zombie WtF' get sequels, Reynolds, who actually cares about the character and has spearheaded all efforts on the project, deserves at least a movie. Deadpool is different and funny, plus you can have him in xmen AND wolverine. Not to mention if Cable comes about at some point.

Josh Brolin for Cable

Or a rebooted Wolverine.

Hopefully, Ryan and FOX need to clear their schedules for this to fall through.
