The headline in the paper might be about Negasonic's powers unleashed. Maybe the world views it as a terror attack.
I hope they don't stray too far from the Weapon X story. I didn't mind how they portrayed DP last time, since it was clearly an origin and he had no reason to be this particular version just yet. As far as origins go, a whole pool of x-powers was more interesting than just lumpy skin. And since he lost all those powers, the end-result is the same. So they can connect or not at all. I don't see it really making much a difference in the final product.

^^^^^I disagree with this guy^^^^^^^^
It's a good trailer, but it's better than the 3 great Xmen films Singer has given us.

What you guys are saying about Singer is like saying that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is better than Raimi's Spider-Man 2 because of the fact that the Spidey outfit looks more comic accurate. Singer hasn't paid the most justice to the source material, but there's no denying that X-Men: Days of Future Past is of very high quality.

Reboot the X Franchise with Miller at the Helm, he seems to get & understand the comic genre as a whole & how to adapt it to the screen well, these two trailers alone have pretty much proven it's literally a Deadpool comic come to life on screen.

I'd like to see what Miller could do with the X-Men himself. His Colossus already Pisses over Singer's.

Basing a complete judgement of a director from a trailer isn't always the best thing to do. Even parts of the Green Lantern trailer (i.e. Oa, Sinestro, etc.) made it seem like the director had a huge understanding of the way things worked with the mythology. We all know how that turned out.

Man, I really hope to see Wolverine suited up in his classic costume in this film. Even if it's just a cameo during the weapon x days. Mannnnnnn.

Miller and Boone are the future at Fox's X-Men department. They love the characters and AREN'T afraid to make them who they are.

Singer:

-No Russian Accent
-Number of words said in X2: 3
-Number of words said in DofP: 1

Miller:

-Russian accent
-Number of words said in one "trailer": 5

@ManCalledSting

That's the thing though. Colossus isn't a "minor" character. Especially in the old classic runs. He's filled with 10x the heart they gave him in other X-Men flicks and his personality is heart warming. But the simple fact that Singer asked Cudmore that he didn't use the Russian accent when doing Colossus in older X-flicks leads me to believe that he isn't too interested in exploring the multicultural aspects of some of these characters. same can be said about Halle Berry's Storm. I hope to God he doesn't Americanize storm in Apocalypse. But I'll give him a plus for tying her into Cairo.

And I agree, just looking at the SUV's and etc makes me believe that it is set in the modern day. However, I'm a bit confused with why the script involved a "Pre-Apocalyptic" looking Detroit??

sinsear912 - 12/26/2015, 1:38 PM
@therationalnerd Halle's accent was terrible and i doubt cudmore could pull off a russian accent. Nobody cared about Black Widow not having an accent.

Lol @ dumbasses who don't realize he was a background character in the original trilogy and DoFP. Of course his character was underdeveloped.

LMBOOOOOOOO @ dumbasses who can barely hold an argument toe to toe.
TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 12/26/2015, 2:51 PM
What's even more stupid is that the guy calls him a "background" character who's had such a rich history over 30+ years. smh there's ignorance and then there's just stupidity.
TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 12/26/2015, 2:54 PM
@ManCalledSting

Completely understood, all I'm saying is that if you can have a specific character have any capacity of screen time just make sure they're at least memorable in all that they've done. He's a great X-Man and I'm glad to see him in great hands (as far from what I see)
CaptainAmerica
CaptainAmerica - 12/26/2015, 2:57 PM
Lol he's a background character in the films stupid [frick], do you know the difference between a comic book film and a comic book? Ignant ass fuccboi.

BUT BUT BUT IN THE COMIXS HE SPEEKS RUSIAN, BRYAN SINGER SUCKS WHAAAAAAAA.
TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 12/26/2015, 3:02 PM
@sinthegreat

About Black Widow, I believe she actually spoke Russian in the Avengers. Due to the fact that she's a spy I don't hold as much as weight on her about sporting it 24/7, however with Colossus that's just who the guy is hands down, even his dialogue in the. Classic Claremont comics is worded with respects to the way he speaks. The X-men animated series did a decent job at showcasing it as well. I cared about her not having her accent and someone would end up correcting me on it as well years ago on the site. I even think that BW had a small hint of her accent in Iron man 2. I gotta go back and watch that film eventually. And believe it or not, I actually thought that Halle's accent wasn't all that bad, only part where it sounded off to me was when she delivered the toad struck by lightening line. lol But as for everything else it wasn't too bad.
TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 12/26/2015, 3:09 PM
Ahhhhhh *sniff sniff* that's the smell of Butt-Hurt from @CaptainAmerica ;) Just gotta love how he waits for other users to speak up for him just so that he can have the way paved for him to make a simple complaint. The simple fact that he insults people more than he does home am argument shows just how sad this little guy really is. smh perhaps I should've shipped the poor guy some comics for Christmas so he'd understand. He's a "background" (whatever that is) in Deadpool as well and look at how well he's been handled. Like I said the first time, there's ignorance and then there's just stupidity. Put all of that energy you have typing on here into reading the roots of what makes the character great.
