DEADPOOL 3: Ben Affleck Reportedly Spotted On Set - Could He Be Back As Daredevil?

Deadpool 3 might be shaping up to be a much more extensive Multiverse adventure than we realized, as a new report is claiming that Ben Affleck has been spotted on set...

We knew Deadpool 3 was going to involve some kind of Multiversal mayhem, and previous reports have indicated that we will see several surprising character appearances (Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey among them), but it sounds like the Merc With a Mouth's MCU debut might have some major deep-cut cameos lined up.

We're now hearing that Ben Affleck, who can currently be seen as Batman (likely for the last time) in The Flash, was spotted on the set of the R-rated threequel. The report seems to have originated with @TheComixKid, who clarifies that he has no idea who he's playing or if he's even in the movie.

Of course, speculation has been mounting that he may be reprising the role of Matt Murdock from the 2003 Daredevil movie.

This might seem like a bit of a stretch - especially since Affleck has never looked back particularly fondly on his time as the Man Without Fear - but he's always had a sense of humor about it at the same time, so we'd say he could be game for a fun cameo.

This would also gel with previous rumors that Deadpool 3 is going to be quite similar to The Flash when it comes to its Multiverse elements, with Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Logan) dropping in on various alternate realities and timelines. Giant Freakin' Robot has even heard that both Channing Tatum and Taylor Kitsch will appear as different Variants of Gambit.

Here's what Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld had to say on Twitter.

“I’ve been very fortunate people put stuff in front of me. And trust me, all I’m saying is, I saw that cast list. I think people are just going to get freakin’ blown away, and I’m not saying more than what I just said.”

What do you guys make of these reports? Drop us a comment down below.

Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Rob Delaney (Peter), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) And Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio) will all return as their respective characters, and they'll be joined by franchise newcomers Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), whose roles are still under wraps.

Plot details also remain a mystery for now, but Wade and Wolvie are expected to find themselves (trapped?) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A recent rumor claimed that Loki's TVA, including Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Miss Minutes, will be involved. We have also been led to believe that Wade's MCU debut will be far more integral to Phase 5 and beyond than we first realized.

Deadpool 3 is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.

Do it Ben!

He redeemed himself as Batman imo and should do the same as DD before he retired from CBMs for good.

Spider Verse’s version of the multi-verse - vibrant creative worlds full of wonder and idiosyncrasies, created with an immaculate care for detail and love for the concept

MCU’s version of the multi-verse - FAN SERVICE

@Cap1 - I'm buddies with the director and the movies are superior so I LOVE the Spider-Verse films. You're right about everything you said about them. But come on, they're filled with fan service. What purpose did Ben Reilly serve other than a deep cut for fans. Kids have no idea who he was or why he was the way he was. And it's not like there were any spideys pointing at each other, right? A meme on screen has to be considered fan service. Yeah, the MCU does it, and sometimes really poorly, but they ain't the only ones. Their much younger counterpart in the SV films takes that page right out of the book (of cagliostro?).

@LiteraryJoe - oh I'm not denying they do fan-service, Donald Glover's cameo was nothing but (though was quite funny too), but the major difference is with Spider-Verse their storytelling comes first, then animation then a plethora of other things, with MCU it's fan service then everything else as an afterthought

@Cap1 - See, now that, we agree on. At least for most of the MCU projects.

I was going to mention Donald Glover, but considering Miles only exists because of #donaldglover4spiderman it was well worth it.

@LiteraryJoe - yeah that Glover cameo felt entirely earned and wasn't overbearing at all, in contrast to Affleck appearing in a Deadpool movie as Daredevil 20 years later lol

@LiteraryJoe - Well, Hate to break it to you, but Spider-Verse sucks too.
LOL
Verse of More Baby Shit Cartoon Land with (People Based Off Spider-man). But no real Spider-Man,
is what the movie should've actually been called.
Plus if your friends with the director, ask him to come here and speak up on how he treats animators little Baby Shit movie. That no one will remember in 20 years.

Can't even make up their own minds. Treats effects artists like slaves.
Sounds about right.

Back in 2003, I went and saw it with my mates in the cinema and really liked it
So much so that I even bought it when it was released.

Probably won't hold up now but one day, when I'm not doing much I'll check out that Directors cut
