DEATHSTROKE: Joe Manganiello Shares A Look At Slade Wilson's Battle Damaged Mask
Joe Manganiello was supposed to star in The Batman as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke but when that fell through, it appeared to be the end of the road for the actor. Well, that all changed earlier this week...
When Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns' version of The Batman fell apart (Matt Reeves signed on as director and decided to start over with the screenplay), it appeared as if that was it for Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke. Rumour had it that he'd show up in Justice League working for Lex Luthor but those scenes - if they ever existed - have seemingly been cut and that looked like the end of the line for him.
Well, Slade Wilson will live to fight another day as we learned earlier this week that Gareth Evans (The Raid) is set to take the helm of a solo Deathstroke movie which is indeed going to star Manganiello.
When exactly it will be released remains a mystery but the actor took to Twitter last night to share a shot of Deathstroke's battle damaged mask, a sign that he's a fighter with plenty of experience in the DC Films Universe. Chances are Manganiello took this during his camera test as the fan-favourite character but it looks awesome regardless and it should be fun seeing him finally get to play Slade...
