THE LION KING: Beyonce And Donald Glover Sing "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" In This New TV Spot

We thought Disney might save this for the actual movie, but the latest TV spot for The Lion King gives us a surprisingly lengthy preview of Beyonce and Donald Glover's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" duet.

The Lion King is now less than a month away from roaring into theaters, and Disney has released another TV spot for the highly-anticipated retelling of the animated classic.

This one contains quite a bit of new footage, and we also get to hear some of Nala (Beyonce) and Simba (Donald Glover) singing Tim Rice and Elton John's classic, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." Nala only had this song in the animated original, but you can bet The Queen will also be getting a new tune of her own this time.

Check out the new spot below and let us know if you're looking forward to The Lion King in the comments.

Director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.

Disney’s The Lion King is set for release on July 19, 2019.

@blackandyellow - So what? The movie version wasnt Elton John singing, it was the characters. Same as this one.
The Elton John version was part of the movie's official soundtrack.
