Behind The Scenes Set Pic From DOCTOR STRANGE

Director Scott Derrickson and executive producers Stephen Broussard and Louis D'Esposito provide a glimpse of the Doctor Strange set in a new behind the scenes photo. Are we looking at the Sanctum Sanctorum or the home of the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton)?

Judging by the background, we're either looking at the Sanctum Sanctorum - the mystical New York home of Doctor Strange, located at 177A Bleecker Street or the temple home of the Ancient One in the Himalaya Mountains.

Produced by Marvel Studios, Doctor Strange will be the fourteenth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the second film in Phase Three, after Captain America: Civil War.  The film is directed by Scott Derrickson from a script written by
Jon Spaihts.  Benedict Cumberbatch plays the titular hero, while Mads Mikkelsen is rumored to play the villain Dormammu.

Can't get excited about this one. A trailer can probably get me interested, but set pics and general hype.... nope.

@Neo Golden Child, LOL! I've forgotten about this movie... funny as shit! Well, Strange for me will be the chance for Marvel be capable to changing the formula a little bit, bringing different elements to the MCU. This movie is even more important than Civil War IMO.

You know when Bryan Singer was filming the X-Men he was posting photos of himself with the set in the background and people would shit all over him. “Look at him!! Why is he always putting himself in the picture?!!”
Just saying. Because they’re blocking most of the background. Not much to see. Nice lumberjack shirt.
Great director for a Doctor Strange movie. Unlike the director they picked for Thor.

I just can't get hyped for this movie. The cast is absolutely incredible, the director has done my favourite horror movie of the last decade, and it's MCU. But i just don't care enough about the character. Might be the first MCU film I skip in the theatres. Although, I thought the same with Ant-Man, and ended up very impressed and happy that my friends dragged me to it.

I just chuckle when they say Dr. Strange is gonna be the "horror movie" of Marvel. Then why is Scott Derrickson directing?

@marvelstudios

The first trailers for GOFG & Ant-Man came out 6 months prior to release. AOU trailer was slightly ahead of its 6 months before release. Civil War's trailer was later just slightly more than 5 months of release. Since Civil War falls right into that window -we should see Doctor Strange's trailer released around that release or as early as the end of April.

Looks like a Tibetan temple to me.
Extraordinarily pumped for this movie.
Am I the only one who'd love to get some lovecraftian easter eggs in this movie (the plateau of Leng, the Necronomicon, Yog-Sothoth, stuff like that)?

@jeight

Hopefully he does do well. Seems like Walt Disney is getting cheap with directors or high end directors are avoiding Marvel movies because they’re control freaks. I never said incompetent. It just seems like a weird choice considering the type of movie Thor 3 is supposed to be. Might as well get Woody Allen to direct AntMan 2. He’s a good director too but still a weird choice for a superhero movie. I liked “What We Do in the Shadows”.
If anybody wants to watch a funny movie that is different you have to give this a try “What We Do in the Shadows”.

There will definitely be a Doctor Strange trailer attached to Civil War.

Maybe even a Black Panther or Captain Marvel teaser attached as well.
