CONFIRMED: Benedict Cumberbatch Will Return As DOCTOR STRANGE In AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
Benedict Cumberbatch hinted that it would be the case in a recent interview, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has now confirmed that the Sorcerer Supreme will return in Avengers: Infinity War!
There's been a lot of talk about what's next for Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme after Doctor Strange, but talking at the press conference for that movie today, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed some long standing rumours and speculation about his future. As expected, we'll see the hero return in Avengers: Infinity War. No further details beyond that were provided, but it's exciting!
What role he'll play there remains to be seen, but if we're right about the Eye of Agamotto being the Time Stone, that would explain why he ends up getting involved with the battle against Thanos.
Interestingly, Feige was also asked about the possibility of the Illuminati showing up in Avengers: Infinity War, and he confirmed that we'll see "some" of those characters. Chances are that he's referring to Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Iron Man rather than Black Bolt, Namor, and Mr. Fantastic. Are you looking forward to seeing the Sorcerer Supreme in the sure to be epic movie?
