How DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Teases Billy Maximoff's Wiccan Future - PHOTOS

A sculptor who worked on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has shared some photos of his work on the sequel, one of which teases young Billy Maximoff's eventual transformation into Wiccan...

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness unleashed the power of the Scarlet Witch on all reality, and Agatha Harkness' dire warnings about Wanda Maximoff's ability to tap into chaos magic proved to be no exaggeration. That was evident from the statue of the Avenger that had been created inside the Darkhold Castle, foretelling the Witch's eventual descent into villainy.

However, there was another statue there featuring her son, Billy Maximoff. Considering this character doesn't technically exist in the MCU (Earth-616) at this point, it's very interesting that his transformation into Wiccan was set to be teased in the Doctor Strange sequel.

While there had been rumours about Billy and Tommy being aged up courtesy of new actors, it appears Marvel Studios plans to wait for Julian Hilliard and Jett Klyne to grow up a little before having them suit up as Speed and Wiccan. Who knows which Variants of them we'll eventually meet, though the Earth-838 versions are likely after what our Wanda did to their mother.

The MCU's Wiccan and Speed displayed the same powers as their respective comic book counterparts, so we also wouldn't be surprised if they're somehow resurrected. We know very little about how chaos magic works in the MCU, and the prevailing theory is that the Scarlet Witch survived the events of this movie (for what we're guessing will now be a redemption arc).

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki Head Writer Michael Waldron.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now playing in theaters. It's now available on Digital platforms and Disney+, and hits Blu-ray, 4k Ultra HD, and DVD on July 26.

That thumbnail pic, the artwork looks a bit like Liam Neeson.

Ehh. Just recast with older actors. Why would they wait until these kids are older? They have all the moving pieces for Young Avengers apart from Billy and Tommy being older. (As well as a young Kang to be Iron Lad, but I'm assuming Riri may fill that position.)

@RitoRevolto - I'm hoping Secret Invasion series will introduce MCU's incarnation of Hulkling.

@RitoRevolto - kids age faster than you think. The actor for Tommy is already 13.

@Odin - Ohh very possible. I never even considered he could show up there.

@KelvTwelve - Shit, is he really? Guess you're right.

@RitoRevolto - Yeah he's only about 2-3 years younger than the actress for America. Billy is like 11 though so I guess we'll see.

Those Carvings were such a cool touch. I hope Wanda survived that collapse and shows up in the near future. Maybe the Secret Wars event will start with her instead of Elektra? A Skrull impersonating Wanda who is believed to be dead...oooo the possibilities.
