Nice! Moon Knight would be a pretty awesome property to adapt too, but before that we need Black Panther or Luke Cage.

I love Hugh Laurie, but the look doesn't seem to be there.....he sure could deliver the acting. I wouldn't mind seeing Patrick Dempsey, he has the look, but I am thinking more of Clive Owen for Doc.

NinjaCarm, there are millions of people who don't care about comic book movies in general, but you don't see them proclaiming their disinterest on sites for those who do.

So why are you bothering to post that you don't care about Dr. Strange in an article about Dr. Strange? I mean, who gives a flying [frick]?

Can't wait to see Strange on film.

And I'd hate if it was Sean Penn, guy is a turd, over-rated as an actor in my opinion, and I can't see him "playing nice" with the rest of the universe. It'd be Ed Norton situation all over again, and he'd be a one-and-done.

The Del Toro/Depp pairing is the absolute dream scenario, but I wouldn't be angry if it was Dempsey because he already has stated his desire to play strange, and would gladly sign a multiple picture deal.

i rather not Johnny Depp played Dr Strange he is a good actor but he is too predictable for that role.

Johnny Depp said he is a fan of Namor when he did a interview with herocomplex.

"Oh yeah. I was a rock ‘n’ roll kid, mainly, but prior to age 12, when the rock ‘n’ roll sort of took hold, I was a comic-book head. I liked Sgt. Rock. And I loved the Sub-Mariner. I loved Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner."

Depp said he was no fan of Captain America. "No, not really. But I liked Spider-Man and I liked the Fantastic Four for a bit. I really liked Sgt. Rock. But the Sub-Mariner, he was the alternative one. The alt-superhero. He was the sort of Bohemian comic book. I like that."

@jazzman,

I wasn't talking about height, I meant like physical/muscular build, Depp is not a big guy. They just need to pick an unknown, just like they did with Hemsworth as Thor. I have no desire to see Depp as Namor AT ALL. Plus, the Iron Man suit makes anyone wearing it bigger, genius.

Johnny Depp would be great, but something to keep in mind is that Robert Downey Jr is only signed up for one more film under his Marvel contract. If he doesn't sign on to play Iron Man again, it would be amazing to see Johnny Depp take over the role of Tony Stark. Plus, Depp already has a great relationship with Marvel's parent company, Disney, because of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

This is good news and has the potential to be GREAT! This truly can give MARVEL a great FRANCHISE much like HARRY POTTER, which I think is a great reference for how this movie should look and feel. It needs a dirty, unpolished look to it. Much like HARRY POTTER or LORDS OF THE RINGS. That was my only issue with THOR, it looked too pretty and polished visually. Time to get GRIMY!

@AsgardianGangsta

wasnt even talking about the Iron Man suit. i was just talking about just RDJ in the role as Tony he wears a shoe lift to look taller.

yeah Johnny Depp aint a big guy but heres something he can hit the gym like Chris Evans did when he played Cap to gain body mass. i also agree i rather a unknown for the role to be honest but i just mention Johnny Depp is a fan of Namor.
