For those of you who don't know, Borys Kit writes for The Hollywood Reporter, so this is indeed a reliable source. Which of the director's above do you guys think would be best suited for helming Doctor Strange? At this point, it seems likely that the movie will indeed be part of Marvel's Phase 3 plans in 2016, but the earliest confirmation of this that we're likely to get is this year's San Diego Comic-Con. As always, stay tuned to CBM for further updates!

Scott Derrickon would do good. Loved Sinister it's the only movie to have ever actually scare me. He does supernatural very well, which is the doors of the MCU that Doc Strange would open up. But, I still got to go Jonathan Levine because of 50/50 he is proven to be a great dramatic director and great drama is needed (as well as a good script) if we are to believe it to be happening as well as that he exists in the MCU rather than them just telling us he is.

Yeah Dr Strange animated movie was ok...

thought it was the only marvel animated movie that was in the same league as most of the DC ones (not including Flashpoint Paradox, The Dark Knight Returns and Batman: Under the Red Hood, which are all in a different class).

I'd rather have a good drama director than a shitty horror one. Don't let this be your first flop Marvel.

Jonathan Levine or no deal.

Dr strange animated movie is one of the main reasons why I think a live action movie would be great to bring to life

The animated movie is so underrated

I enjoyed the animated movie as well. And these directors are intriguing candidates. We'll definitely need someone who can do creepy and suspenseful in the context of Marvel. And I'm still here for Luke Evans as a choice to play Strange, no Depp please. There are other actors out there to pull from.
