A recent listing by an Australian theater chain asserted that Marvel's Doctor Strange would be clocking in at 130 minutes. This listing gained traction around the internet thanks to a post by /Film and became such a large talking point that director Scott Derrickson eventually had to address it. In short, it's not true.
At 2 hrs and 10 minutes, the purported runtime would have been one of Marvel's longest films to date, just behind Avengers: Age of Ultron (2 hrs and 21 minutes) and Captain America: Civil War (2 hrs and 27 minutes). What do you think is an appropriate amount of time to tell Stephen Strange's origin story? Let us know in the comment section below.
