Most of the big movie studios may have chosen to sit out this year's Comic-Con but Marvel Studios was there and, well, there really wasn't any need for anyone else to show up!

After all, Kevin Feige and company stole the show in a huge way with a series of jaw-dropping announcements, some unexpected casting reveals, and the debut of the first two years of Phase 4 movies and TV shows which will grace both the big screen and the upcoming Disney+ platform.

Now, a some images have been released by Marvel Studios highlighting the memorable moments.

We see Natalie Portman lift her new hammer, Anthony Mackie wield the shield, the entire cast of The Eternals, the man who will play Shang-Chi, and much more besides.

To check out these photos from the panel, all you guys need to do is hit the "View List" button below!

Meet your new Captain America! Anthony Mackie is wielding the shield that Steve Rogers gave Sam Wilson at the end of Avengers: Endgame and recently confirmed that he'll be donning a new suit.

Who would have guessed that we'd ever see Angelina Jolie on stage at Comic-Con to promote a Marvel Studios movie? This truly proves that they can get anyone to join the MCU these days!

Image

Simi Liu was cast as Shang-Chi this past Tuesday and it's fair to say that this will be the actor's biggest role to date. He'll need to spend a lot of time training to do the hero justice, though!

Image

The Vision and Scarlet Witch together again! We still have no idea how the android returns from the dead in WandaVision but we can assume it has something to do with Wanda's powers.

Image

We thought Tom Hiddleston was done playing Loki after the last two Avengers movies but we now know that Loki will revolve around the 2012 version of him after he escaped with the Tesseract.

Image

The crowd at Comic-Con sang Benedict Cumberbatch "Happy Birthday!" as he came out to announce the next instalment of the Doctor Strange franchise alongside co-star Elizabeth Olsen.

Image

Richard Madden is one of Hollywood's hottest commodities after The Bodyguard and Rocketman so having him lead the cast of The Eternals as Ikaris is obviously a huge win for Marvel Studios.

Image

Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi presents the returning Natalie Portman with Thor's hammer Mjolnir as she will be playing the female God of Thunder in that fourth instalment.

Image

Jeffrey Wright is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as The Watcher...in an animated form! The show will stream on Disney+ and is set to visit a number of alternate timelines and realities.

Image

Jeremy Renner will return as Hawkeye in a series that promises to delve both into his time as Ronin during that five-year time jump and him training his replacement, comic book character Kate Bishop.

Image

So much for Millie Bobby Brown playing Sprite, eh? This is Lia McHugh and she appears to be quite a bit younger than the Stranger Things star so maybe Marvel Studios chose a different direction!

Image

The last time we saw Thor, he was heading into outer space with the "Asgardians of the Galaxy" but something must have brought him back to Earth...could that be the fact there's a new Thor?

Image

Black Widow may have been killed off in Avengers: Endgame but Scarlett Johansson is back for an adventure which will take place between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War

Image

David Harbour is playing Red Guardian and the reason he's wearing a Captain America t-shirt is apparently because his character has some "complicated" feelings for Steve Rogers. Do they know each other?

Image

Florence Pugh's star is on the rise and she'll be playing Yelena Belova in Black Widow. That's a character with a lot of history in the comics but it sounds like she'll be an ally to Natasha in the MCU.

Image

Rachel Weisz is another surprising addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we don't currently know who she'll be playing in Black Widow. However, she's probably a villainous Russian of some sort!

Image

In one of the biggest surprises of the night, it was revealed that Teyonah Parris is going to play an adult version of Monica Rambeau in WandaVision. We first met the character in Captain Marvel.

Image

Meet the new Blade! Mahershala Ali stole the show in the first season of Luke Cage as Cottonmouth and he was cast by Marvel Studios after calling Kevin Feige to discuss playing the character.

Image

What a way to end the panel! The Oscar-winning actor came out on stage after Marvel Studios handed out Black Widow caps and then put on one of his own featuring the new Blade logo.

Image

Tessa Thompson says that Valkyrie is looking for a "Queen" in Thor: Love and Thunder and it's going to be very interesting seeing who that winds up being. Is Jane Foster a remote possibility?

I know it's technically wrong to say this, but we need some leaks.

Feige doesn't disappoint. Pretty sure that "i am inevitable" Endgame line was a direct Kevin Feige quote.

@TheManWithoutFear - Someone yelled out "Rate R!" Derrickson said DS2 was going to be horror, Feige replied with "No, it's pg 13 and you're gonna like it". He knows whats up.

OK, 2 Thor questions.
1) How does Jane have Mjollnir? Cap took it with him at the end of Endgame.
2) Thor goes off with the Guardians in what I presume will be an adventure in Guardians 3. But that movie will come out after Thor 4. So are we going to be seeing Thor's activity out of chronological order?

@CplHicks - to answer 2. He went off with them doesn’t mean he’s gonna be there forever they could drop him off and he doesn’t do anything with them at all or this is pit stop for him while he’s with them

@CplHicks - Eitri is still alive and you have Amora the Enchantress as the potential villain.

@CplHicks - My guess is Jane Thor is from another dimension ala the multiverse that will be introduced in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

@CplHicks - also, whose to say we won't see the Guardians at the beginning of Thor 4?? I could see that being the intro and then they depart for whatever reason. Thor has never been confirmed for Guardians 3.

No confirmation for Ant-Man 3. I hope they integrate Scott and Hope in other franchises if there is no film in the works.

@SonOfAGif - No confirmation for Ant-Man 3, Black Panther 2, and GOTG 3, but I'm positive all of those are happening at some point...just not in the next 2 years.
Nebula
Nebula - 7/21/2019, 11:27 AM
@Feralwookiee - Kevin confirmed both Black Panther 2 and Guardians 3 on stage. He didn't mention anything to do with Ant-Man or the Wasp.

@Nebula - I must've missed it. Are there confirmed dates for BP2 and GOTG3 yet?
Nebula
Nebula - 7/21/2019, 12:29 PM
@Feralwookiee - Nah, he mentioned them at the end of the panel like "We didn't even talk about these things." All we know is that they're beyond the furthest away thing on the slate. James Gunn tweeted about why there wasn't any Guardians at Comic-Con and he said it's because he's dealing with Suicide Squad first.
TheUnworthyThor
TheUnworthyThor - 7/21/2019, 1:03 PM
@SonOfAGif - I hope we still get another Ant-man and the Wasp. They only laid out the next two years which we never expected to include an Ant-man movie because he had one more recently than Doctor Strange, Thor, the Guardians or Black Panther. Hopefully they don’t squander the goodwill for him from Endgame.

I'm so excited and satisfied with the amount of Lizzie Olsen and Scarlet Witch in Phase Four. Finally, rightfully made it out from the sidelines.

ScarJo seems to be in great shape for her solo movie. She looks even more ridiculously hot than usual.

[Simu Liu]'ll need to spend a lot of time training to do the hero justice, though!

Considering he's already in shape, athletic enough to do backflips, plays basketball regularly, and practices martial arts, I say not so much training.

Dude is like Tom Holland but 30 and Chinese.

I'm still pretty amazed that they really just went all out and seemingly just gonna make the most comic-y phase of the MCU yet

Why is everyone talking like this is the full phase 4 slate? This is only through 2021, right?
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 7/22/2019, 12:11 PM
@SummersEssex - This was confirmed to be the full slate of Phase 4. Blade is part of Phase 5. So expect to see Blade in 2022.
