Eternals fan screenings begin today, while Thursday evening previews are a little over 24 hours away. That means spoilers will soon be everywhere, and while we're going to have plenty of commentary for you over the next few days, we're kicking things off by taking a closer look at the post-credit scenes.
In these descriptions, we reveal what happens in both stingers and dive into what they could mean for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's exciting future as we continue to head deeper into Phase 4.
The critical response to Eternals might have been mixed, but these scenes are undeniably exciting. With a couple of big introductions and a massive tease about what's next for one particular character, Marvel Studios has laid the groundwork for multiple projects in theaters, Disney+, or both.

Mid-Credits Scene
Thena, Makkari, and Druig have left Earth to seek out more Eternals, but their search has thus far proven futile. However, it's at this point someone begins to teleport onto the ship, and we then meet Pip the Troll (voiced by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alum Patton Oswalt).
He introduces Eros, Thanos' brother, played by Harry Styles (Dunkirk).
After complimenting Thena's beauty, Eros reveals that he also has one of the orbs Ajak and Sersi used to communicate with the Celestial Arishem and later form the Uni-Mind. He then tells the heroes that the rest of the surviving Eternals are in trouble and claims to know where to find them...
Post-Credits Scene
Kit Harington's Dane Whitman doesn't get the biggest role in Eternals, but takes Sersi's advice and seemingly makes amends with his uncle in the post-credits scene.
We find him in a mansion or castle standing in front of a large rectangular box as he paces back and forth struggling to decide whether to open it. He does, and the Ebony Blade is inside. This legendary weapon is Black Knight's sword and comes with a whole host of powers (unfortunately, it also runs the risk of corrupting the user and sending them down a dark path).
As Dane reaches for the sword, a voice off screen questions whether he's ready to wield it. We don't know who the actor is, but the character could be his uncle Nathan Garrett, the previous Black Knight, who no doubt wants his nephew to accept his destiny. It could also be Sir Percival's spirit!
What They Mean For The MCU's Future
Eros might be Thanos' brother, but as the Eternals are synthetic beings in the MCU, we really don't know what that means right now. Like the comics, chances are the Mad Titan was an Eternal who was born (created?) deformed, hence why he wasn't embraced by the people of Titan.
Marvel Studios isn't really following the source material with its take on the characters, and a hunt across the cosmos for more Eternals doesn't feel like the most compelling premise for a sequel. However, as Eros seems to know where Sersi and company can be found, it seems likely that he, Pip, Thena, Makkari, and Druig will set off to hunt them down, perhaps forming the team known as Infinity Watch along the way. Expect to see them in other franchises before Eternals 2.
As for Black Knight, he could show up anywhere in that superhero guise. We're betting on Secret Invasion, though it would be no bad thing for Harington to get his own spinoff series on Disney+.
