GOLDEN GLOBES: Full Results See Chadwick Boseman, ETERNALS Director Chloé Zhao, And SOUL Win Huge Awards

The results are in for this year's Golden Globes, and while The Mandalorian found itself shut out, plenty of comic book movie talent won big, including the late Chadwick Boseman and Eternals' Chloé Zhao.

The Golden Globes came under fire after it was revealed by the Hollywood Foreign Press last night that they haven't had a Black member for two decades. It's unacceptable, and many outlets are already threatening to boycott next year's awards ceremony if steps aren't taken to make this right.

Despite that, it was still a good night for diversity in terms of the winners, with Daniel Kaluuya (Black Panther) and John Boyega (Star Wars) walking away with some noteworthy awards.

Soul, meanwhile, won "Best Animated Film," while Eternals director Chloé Zhao won both "Best Film" and "Best Director" for Nomadland. The Mandalorian wasn't quite so lucky, but it was facing some strong competition, and just being nominated was arguably a win for the first live-action Star Wars TV series.

The New Mutants star Anya Taylor-Joy also won big for her role in Netflix's The Queen's Gambit.

Apparently Chloé Zhao is the second woman to ever win a GG for directing, the first being Barbra Streisand for Yentl back in 1983...

Not really any surprising wins, but (from those that I've seen) definitely well deserved wins. Boseman especially, he was so [frick]ing good in Black Bottom.

@bkmeijer - it makes me question did he win from his death did he win he deserves it heath ledger won for dark knight after his death comic book movies never get nominated at that time for award shows

@dragon316 - Do you think Ledger won the Oscar because he died? Genuine question.

@dragon316 - I see where you're coming from, but in my opinion he was really better than the competition.

The role itself also carries a wider social weight (even still today), which I think probably factored into the win more.

Good for them.

However, I feel like the GG have a category for every nominee to basically win. Not taking anything away from the winners, but I’m going through the list and I’m like “aww shame they lost...- oh nope, they won that category...”
