Ever since we found out that Marvel's Eternals would reach back thousands of years into the Marvel Cinematic Universe's past, there's been speculation that we may see the fall of Atlantis and a setup for the eventual debut of Namor, and now a rumor doing the rounds online claims that will indeed be the case.
According to MCU Cosmic, we will see the "sinking of Atlantis on screen" at some point during the film, possibly in an early montage to set the stage for what's to come. There's no mention of a direct reference to The Savage Sub Mariner, but if his underwater kingdom is shown, it's certainly a possibility.
Eternals has always seemed like it'd be a smart place to introduce or tease Namor, so while this source has been hit and miss in the past (honestly, this feels more like speculation than any actual insider knowledge), we reckon this does have a decent chance of being accurate.
What do you guys think? Drop us a comment in the usual place. Marvel's Eternals is still set for a November release.. for now.
