Amy Johnston should play Black Canary for the DCEU

Who do you think should play Black Canary on the big screen. Here's my thoughts on who I think deserves the role if WB and DC ever decides to introduce Black Canary into their DC Extended Universe.

So you probably read the title and said, "Who?"....
...., or you might've been already familiar with the name and said, " No", because you've only heard of her in smaller projects. But hear me out, before we start, just in case you get mixed up, this is NOT Amy Johnson the former pink power ranger.

Ok, first of all let's talk about Black Canary. You're most likely already familiar with the character but I'll make this short for those who don't. Black Canary is my all time favorite DC female superhero. She is a brutal and ruthless fighter when comes to, 'Hand to hand combat' within the DC universe.

She is tough, smart, open minded and beautiful. She has an ability called, 'Canary Cry'. When she screams she releases loud sonic sound waves that could destroy most anything.

Now let's talk about Amy Johnston. Amy is a young, beautiful and a very talented lady.

She's a martial artist, a stunt woman and an actress who is hungry for the movie industry.

She's been involved in YouTube videos like, 'Harley & Joker vs Deadpool & Domino' by Batinthesun, where she played a very accurate and entertaining Harley Quinn.

She was also in a Dragon Ball Z series on YouTube where she played an intimidating Android 18 very well.

She also played Black Canary before in a low budget YouTube project a long time ago. It was like watching an audition tape for a DC comic film and she nailed it.

Amy has also starred in other action movies like, "Razor Sharp, Female Fight Club, Accident Man and more. She's also worked with some big names in the action genre like Scott Adkins and Dolph Lundgren etc.

But I have to admit, most of her films are not well received by many. But is it her fault ?, absolutely not. She didn't write the script, she didn't direct any of them, she was just the actress. It's also low budget projects so why have high expectations. But if there's one good thing you could point out in each of her movies is her performances. Minus all the bad things I can easily tell in Amy's eyes that she is passionate about acting and takes her roles very seriously no matter how cringey the plot is.

Not many actresses out there has the guts to take any role no matter how low the budget is or how meaningless the movie might be. Amy is one of the most hardworking actress right now in Hollywood in my opinion, who has time to train hard to perform her own action scenes, train hard to be a stunt double for other more popular actresses taking all the credits for the actions, and at the same time working on perfecting her acting abilities.

Amy won the heroine action nomination of 2017 beating Charlize Theron which is big step forward in her career. Her most recognizable role yet is her playing the main character in her feature film, 'Lady BloodFight'. I have to say her performance in that movie and a short film called, 'The Gate', proves that with a bigger budget project, great director, supportive cast, awesome film crew, and a massive fan base, Amy could really make a break out performance.

I know in most cases Hollywood and most ordinary people prefer outstanding actors and actresses in superhero roles. But if you look at Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot or Chris Harmsworth and many more. People barley knew them until they put on the suits, now everyone wants to marry them. Amy is very talented and underrated with her acting. She deserves more recognition and support, if only many people were open minded and not just sticking to praising the Kardashians and already popular actresses. There's just something that makes her stand out when it comes to action actors and actress. She is definitely a rising star and playing Black Canary for the DCEU would definitely be her break out role. I don't want just a another pretty face well acting actress for the role, I want an actual real life bada** actress to take on this role of a bada** DC heroine. Amy has a YouTube, Twitter, Facebook account and she's very active with her fans. If you've never heard of Amy Johnston, check her out now!

She is awesome.

Good choice. I wouldn't say she's a great actor, but then again neither is Gal Gadot and look where she is now. I've seen Lady Bloodfight, Female Fight Squad and Accident Man, she can certainly fight. She was also in Street Fighter Resurrection as Ken's student.

Amy Johnston is awesome!
When I read about the Street Fighter TV-show that will start production, I immediatly thought of her as Cammy.

Nice, makes sense.

I googled her after looking at the cast of Accident Man. I need to watch that movie though, hopefully see it soon.
