"My methods are a means to an end, no different than pruning weeds in order to let an orchid flourish. Those who stand in the way of my vision oppose me because they fear me, but more than that they fear what I represent. Change. Do you know what I despise Richards? And T'Challa? Because never one have they reined in their own self-righteous arrogance long enough to try and see what I see. Never once have they asked me: why? Do you want to know? Love. Measure my crimes against what mankind does to itself, and I am a saint. ... I have looked into the future, I have seen how one violent action after another spins the world toward a future where all that remains of Earth is a burned out cinder. Every time I have looked into the future, that is what I have seen. Every time but one. In one possible future mankind becomes united. Cures for all diseases are found. Global conflict ends. Hunger is abolished. Education is universal. And no one goes without. In that world, there are laws. To break even the slightest of these is to suffer immediate and terminal punishment. ... Ten thousand futures have I looked at. A hundred thousand. And in only one does mankind finally unite, and flourish...and survive. Only one. Doomworld!"

(POWERS / ABILITES / WEAPONS)
Gypsy Sorcery: Doctor Doom's potential in the mystic arts comes from the Roma (i.e. Gypsies, not the character Roma) heritage of his mother. He learned these abilities from his time with a secret order of monks in Tibet. He further developed his abilities by traveling through time and learning lost Dark Arts. Doctor Strange originally considered him magically proficient but only a mid-level mage, but now considers Doom one of the most powerful practitioners of sorcery and a potential Sorcerer Supreme. His knowledge and power is great enough to hold his own against the likes of Morgan le Fay and Doctor Voodoo, the current Sorcerer Supreme. His knowledge of spell-craft likely surpasses Doctor Strange's, former Sorcere Supreme. However, he considers his scientific abilities to be more important and has devices that do many of the same things.

-Mystical Blasts

-Mystical Force-fields

-Invoke Entities

-Spell Casting

-Summoning

-Teleportation

-Dimensonal Travel

-Mystical Ensnaring

-Mystical Portals

-Mind Transference: By training with an alien race, Doom has gained the ability to switch his mind with that of another nearby human being with whom he's made eye contact, a process which he learned from the alien Ovoids. However, Doom prefers his own body and only uses this transference power as a last resort.

Genius-level Intellect: Doctor Doom's most dangerous weapon is his genius-level intellect. He is easily one of the top mortal minds on the planet. Doom has constructed hundreds of devices, including a working time machine (the first of its kind on Earth), devices which can imbue people with superpowers, and many types of robots. His most frequently used robots are his "Doombots," exact mechanical replicas of the real Doctor Doom. They look like him, talk like him, and even act like him. Individually, Doombots have an advanced AI (artificial intelligence) so that each one believes itself to be the real Doom. As a safety measure, each Doombot has a dampener program that is triggered whenever the real Doom (or another Doombot) is nearby. These "body doubles" appear when Doom cannot be present or is unwilling to risk his own life, and are often responsible for Doom's return from certain death. Another common type of robot used is the Servo-Guard, the police force of Latveria. Doom specializes in physics, robotics, cybernetics, genetics, weapons technology, biochemistry, and time travel. He also has natural talents for leadership, strategy, politics, and manipulation.

Highly Influential Connections: As Monarch of Latveria, Doctor Doom has access to a vast collection of magical artifacts, technological and military hardware. Also has command of conventional military forces.

Titanium Armor: Dr. Doom's original armor is a nuclear-powered, computer-assisted battle suit. It was magically forged at a monastery in Tibet, but since then has been repaired by normal (technological) means.

-Enhanced Strength: Gives Dr. Doom the ability to lift (press) approximately 2 tons.

-Durability: The armor is fashioned of a high-strength titanium alloy.

-Flight: On some occasions, some of Dr. Doom's suits of armor gives him the power of flight without the use for jet-packs.

-Video Communicator: Built into the right wrist is a video communicator, which he can use to stay in contact with his bases from any point on Earth.

-Electric Shock: The outer surface of the armor can generate a massive electric shock on command.

-Jet-packs: The typical suit of armor has twin jet-packs mounted at the waist, though other suits (or modifications of the original suit) contain a single jet-pack mounted on the back.

-Concussive Blasts: Concussive bolts of force can be fired from the gauntlets and faceplate of the armor, though the mask only generates force blasts when it is not being worn.

-Force-field: The suit's best defense is the force-field generated by the armor, which has a maximum radius of eight feet (and so can encompass others); Doom cannot attack without lowering his force-field.

-Infrared Vision: Infrared scanners in the helmet allow the wearer to detect heat sources, permitting night vision and the ability to see invisible persons (unless they do not give off or can somehow mask their heat signature).

-Recycling System: The armor is self-supporting, equipped with internal stores and recycling systems for air, food, water, and energy, allowing the wearer to survive lengthy periods of exposure underwater or in outer space.

-Sensor Systems: Optical scanners in the helmet allow the helmet's eyepieces to be used as high-powered telescopes, and parabolic ear amplifiers fitted inside the helmet allow Doom to detect extremely faint sounds and unusual frequencies within the audible range for humans.

-Solar Energy Absorption: A thermo-energizer allows the armor to absorb and store solar and heat energy, and use it to power the armor's other systems; this system can only be used while the force-field is deactivated.

-Splinters of the True Cross: Doom claims that his armour contains splinters of the True Cross, along with other such defenses (presumably to protect him from undead enemies, i.e Dracula). Considering Doom's capabilities to time travel, there is possibility of this being true.

As a genius-level inventor and monarch of a sovereign nation, Doom can attain many other pieces of equipment as needed.

"In Blackest Day, in Brightest Night, beware your fears made into light! Let those who try to stop what's right, burn like my power, Sinestro's might!"

POWERS / WEAPONS / ABILITIES
Fear Attunement: possibly due to being trapped in the central power battery and connecting at a fundamental level with parallax, Sinestro has an innate understanding of the fears of others, even without access to his ring. He also seems to have some form of mental link with his corps members which possibly is attributed to his understanding of others fears as well.

(Weapons)
Yellow Energy Conduit: The rings use yellow energy, supplied by a Power Battery, which in most cases takes the form of yellow light. Yellow Power rings, considered by some to be one of the most powerful weapons in the known universe, has the ability to affect and use fundamental forces of the known universe, including electromagnetic energies such as gravity, radiation, heat, light, and powerful blasts of concussive force. It is also theorized that the ring also has a basis in other dimensional energies commonly called magic by users of such energies. The ring can also create fields of force formed from an unknown energy that was bound by the users' will. The limitations of such use are the skill, knowledge and imagination of the user.

* Energy Blasts: The ring can be used to fire blasts of yellow energy or create weapons such as projectiles of them. The ring can project beams of force powered by the will of the user. The weapons power is more an indication of the will of the user.

* Force-Field Generation: The ring can create various forcefields of various sizes and shapes to protect the wearer and others around him. With the cosmic scope of a Sinestro corpsman's duties, it is only natural that the power ring is designed for operation in space. The ring creates a force-field around the wearer, protecting him/her/it from the hazards of the void including filtration of stellar radiation and microscopic particulate matter which would ordinarily be fatal should the space debris strike the ring wielder at high speeds. An atmosphere appropriate to the ring wielder's biology is created inside the force-field, body temperature is maintained and waste products are removed. Gravitational stresses which could cause injury are stabilized for the ring wielder. Theoretically, a ring wielder could use the ring as his/her/its sole source of life support. The force-field seems to be created instantaneously, whether this is due to programming or an instinctive reaction from intensive training has not been established. It could be considered as a subroutine of the ring's automatic defensive system, but as of yet this theory has not been proven.

* Energy Constructs: The ring can form constructs of yellow energy. The primary function of the Power Ring is to provide a weapon capable of transforming the wearer's thoughts into physical constructs through the wearer's mastery of Fear. A Sinestro Corpsman can create any particular items or construct that they can imagine as long as they have the mastery of fear necessary to will it into existence. The constructs are made out of yellow energy, which is a tangible form of pure fear, and they exist only as long as a Sinesteo Corpsman is fueling it with their mastery of fear. Items created by the rings are not indestructible and are only as powerful as the inspired fear of the Sinestro Corpsman creating them. The types of constructs usually reflects the ring wearer's personality.

* Instill Fear: the Power Ring is unique in that its base of power, fear, can be manipulated by the ring user. An opponents fears can be laid bare by delving into their minds. The power only works on the direct emotion of fear. This allows them to create the energy constructs of a opponents worst nightmare. Also once that fear is exposed the rings ability allows the wielder to amplify the fear to the point of irrationality and true horror on the part of victim and conversely empowering the ring wielder.

* Phasing: The Power Ring allows the wearer to pass through certain solid objects, such as walls. Which objects that are not penetrable are not known, but it may depend upon the strength of the wearer's mastery of fear and the density of the object's molecular structure.

* Kryptonian Charging: Similar to how the light of a Green Power Ring can be used to create artifical Kryptonite energy to harm a Kryptonian, the yellow energy from a Yellow Power Ring can charge the powers of a Kryptonian or Daxamite.

* Environmental Playback: Upon request, the power ring can recreate a holographic environment based on data in its memory banks. The ring wielder can observe events in a ghostlike state, but the ring wielder cannot alter the outcome of the playback. All objects in the playback will appear in the full spectrum of colors, regardless of the wielder's level of expertise creating simulacrum's. The power ring will automatically end the playback if outside interference warrants the ring wielder's undivided attention.

* Invisibility & Light Refraction: A ring wielder can render him/her/itself invisible by willing the ring to bend light waves around his/her/its form, as well as that of the power ring. Presumably, a similar action allows an experienced ring wielder to create objects of colors other than green. As Hal Jordan's experience grew, he was able to create power ring illusions of people and objects. It can be assumed the ring wielder would not risk the extra time and effort to create other colors in a combat situation.

* Energy Twin: The power ring allows the wearer to create an "energy twin" of his/her/itself that can travel at far greater speeds than that of the ring wielder's physical form. While the energy twin is active the ring wielder remains motionless, his/her/its life force is needed to guide the energy twin. The energy twin can not alter its surroundings, and may only be perceived by another ring wielder as a yellow, ghostlike image. Any knowledge gained by the energy twin is transferred back to the ring wielder's physical form upon recontact with the body.

* Energy Absorption: The ring can absorb and store most other energies. Unlike the green lantern power rings a yellow power ring can replenish the normal store of energy the ring has. A ring that needs recharging but contained a store of electricity could only discharge that electricity, for example.

* Flight: By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows the user to fly at incredible speeds. In atmosphere, a Sinestro Corpsmen has been known to fly as fast as Mach 10 in atmosphere by creating an aerodynamic envelope around his body. Towing others, usually within a bubble, his speed is limited to the twice the speed of sound or 1440 mph. In space, Sinestro Corpsman's speed can be significantly greater and has been known to approach 80% of lightspeed in normal space. Flight is possible at velocities exceeding light speed. In atmospheres, air friction is not a hindrance, since heat is either absorbed or reflected by the ring's field.

* Wormholes & Spacial Warps: The power ring grants its wearer access to wormholes in space, enabling the ring wielder to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport. Black holes can be navigated by experienced ring wielders.

* Time Travel: Time travel is possible with the power ring, though the further forward in time a ring wielder travels, the more mastery of fear it takes.

* Limited Cellular Regeneration: This ring has a limited ability to heal physical injuries and this seems to be a feature held over from the previous incarnations of the ring. Sinestro Corpsman can use the ring to repair minor injuries in himself or others.

* Electromagnetic Scanning: The ring has a wide range of detection abilities based on the imagination of the user. If one can conceive of it, he can probably detect it. Magical effects like clairvoyance, seem to be beyond the scope of the ring. Most normal electromagnetic phenomena are within the range of the ring, including radio, television, infrared, ultraviolet, and high frequency band communications.

* Universal Translator: Keeping in mind the myriad of worlds, life forms, and cultures throughout the cosmos, it is understandable why Sinestro added a translation system to the power ring. The power ring can translate virtually any language in the universe, facilitating diplomatic encounters rather than violent confrontations.

* Material Alteration: The Sinestro Corpsman's uniform is not made out of fabric. It is created by the Power Ring whenever the wearer wills to wear it. It automatically appears over the wearer's normal clothing, and vanishes when the wearer wills to return to their civilian attire. Most Sinestro Corpsmen wear similar uniforms that are programmed into the ring by default. However, each Sinestro Corpsman is able to adjust their uniform to fit their own needs, personalities and whims. The yellow parts of the wearer's uniform are usually very warm or hot to those who touch it, while the black parts are very cold.

* Ring Duplication: Most Power Rings are capable of automatically duplicating themselves. Each duplicate typically shares the qualities and capabilities of the original ring. While the thought of an unauthorized person getting a hold of a power ring and making duplicates for nefarious purposes, their ability to inflict damage is limited because each duplicate still requires to be recharged by a personal power battery.

* Emergency Beacon: A Sinestro Corpsman in distress can use his/her/its power ring as an emergency beacon. The alert can be directed to a Sinestro Soldier's neighboring sector, or it can be a Corps-wide alert.

* Homing Beacon: A homing beacon in the power ring can lead one Sinestro Corpsman to another. The power ring can be ordered to disguise itself to elude power ring wielding trackers. Most often ring wielders will allow the beacon to signal their location to others.

* Mind Alteration: As the power ring relies on thought and will to operate, mind tampering is not impossible, the real difficulty lies in properly applying the power. There lies a risk of catastrophic damage to the mind should mistakes be made. A ring wielder can use the power ring to erase portions of an individual's memories. Sinestro Corpsmen have used mind techniques as part of training. New recruits may be subjected to mind scans by other Sinestro Corpsmen. They are taught to build mental defenses to protect themselves from psionic attack. The power ring can also be used to beam information from the ring wielder to another being. Sinestro Corpsmen have used this technique to share information regarding their enemies during combat situations.

* Security Protocol: The rings can be programmed. They can be coded to the wearer so as to make them unusable if stolen.

* Preset Conditions: Commands can be stored in the ring to be executed at a later date, even if the bearer is not wearing the ring.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY

I sincerely hope you're talking about Sinestro because Doctor Doom is the clear victor. It's not even a contest.

Seriously, anyone who says Sinestro has clearly never read a comic with Dr. Doom. Not only is he the greatest villain of all time, but he's beaten some of the most powerful foes in the universe. Sinestro would be no trouble for Doom. Doom is impervious to fear and could beat Sinestro with his sorcery alone, but it would be awesome to see him harness the yellow power of fear to forge his own version of the power ring that Sinestro uses. That's right up Doom's alley. And before you guys start saying that that is impossible, remember that Doom forged his own version of the DESTROYER armor!

Doctor Doom curbstomp. Only ignoramuses would pick Sinestro. Doom has taken out cosmic foes the likes of which would make Sinestro soil his bright yellow undies.

Yes, Dr. Doom has beaten beings far more powerful than him. And while that's impressive, the Fantastic Four has always beaten Dr. Doom one way or another.

And since the FF can do that, Sinestro can as well. It would not be an easy win by any means, but Sinestro does it. His ring can do almost ANYTHING, which Dr. Doom fans seem to be forgetting.

@Knight

The Fantastic Four never defeats Doom. They only delay his plans for a bit. And when this happens, it's only because of Doom's extreme arrogance. But his one weakness only applies to the Fantastic Four, with whom he has an intense hatred for as a result of his deeply rooted personal history with Reed Richards. In fact, Doom ALWAYS bests the Fantastic Four, but in order to perfect his revenge he will often accidentally give them time to formulate a plan and escape. For instance, in one story Doom actually captures the entire Fantastic Four and subjects them to the most horrible tortures, but he allowed Richards to live and gave him a chance to learn the magics he had learned since his journey with Tibetan monks. It was an impossible challenge, as the amount of books in Doom's library numbered in the tens of thousands. But Richards discovered Dr. Strange's soul trapped in one of Doom's readings, and with his help he was able to escape Doom's lair with his family.

(In order to have captured Dr. Strange's soul, he would have to have DEFEATED Dr. Strange, an impressive feat by itself.)

That being said, Sinestro isn't the same as Reed Richards. To Doom, Sinestro would merely be an obstacle in his path, and he would gladly dispose of him in the most efficient means necessary. With Reed Richards, however, Doom WILL take his time in destroying his life. And that always ends up being his downfall. This is why Doom can easily defeat the Silver Surfer, Beyonder, and other powerful cosmic beings while the Fantastic Four are still a nuisance to him. It's because he doesn't have the same relationship with them as he does with Reed Richards. Sinestro would be just another obstacle for Doom to dispose of.

Doom wins. No contest. Even if Sinestro's ring can create almost any thing, Doom can do the same thing with his sorcery. Also, Doom would have no trouble harnessing the yellow essence of fear and creating his own power ring.

Come on- Sinestro wins hands down. Do you marvel fans really believe Sinestro will give Doctor Doom the chance to actually take the ring from him?

Give me an f'n break. Sinestro wins. No contest. He'll simply trap Doom inside a bubble of sorts and let him suffocate...that or he'll toss Doom into the sun or something crazy. The ring can do ANYTHING.

That AND the ring is also a long-range weapon. So he doesn't even need to go up near Doom at all. He can just attack him from a distance. Sinestro wins.

LP4 - 5/26/2011, 5:37 PM
@Intruder- Ok, hear me out. I'm no DC-homer. I know when a DC character will get fu*ked but this just isn't one of those situations. I'm not even a really big fan of Sinestro. But based on what they can actually DO. Yeah, I'd say Sinestro has this won.

Some of my MOST FAVORITE villains are these guys but I know Doom would beat them all...

I know Doom has beaten cosmic beings before...so Darkseid...yeah. Deathstroke I figure would be a better match, he is meta-human AND is immortal (Lord Darkseid is immortal too) and having amped reflexes + pre-cog works in his favor. But I just can't see him downing Doom. Sinestro is one of the few in DC i can see taking Doom down.

LP4
LP4 - 5/26/2011, 5:56 PM
@Intruder- Ok then, who from DC do you think can beat Doom?

I seriously doubt Doom would beat everyone from DC. I still see Sinestro pulling a win out of this. You forget- Sinestro is military trained he WAS the greatest Green Lantern (before Hal showed up) and he was even the one who TRAINED Hal...I mean...Sinestro is one of if not THE most dangerous villain in the entire DC Universe.

LP4 - 5/26/2011, 6:05 PM
@Sagemode- I love Darkseid but I'm pretty sure Sinestro would whoop on Uxas. I just can't see Doom beating Sinestro. Sinestro has a ring that can do anything. Like I said- also acts as a long-range weapon.

I'm sure Doom could beat my top villains- Deathstroke and Darkseid. But definitely not easily. But if what Intruder said is true- he beat (silver surfer, thor, galactus, beyonder etc) then I can't honestly see either Darkseid or Deathstroke taking him down.

Sinestro though is different...

"Being a Superman fan and all, I thought you would be familiar with that character"

Wait, I know a SHITLOAD about Darkseid hence he is one of my top villains. But as you put it, Doom has supposedly beaten- Thor, Galactus, Silver Surfer and Beyonder. I'm pretty sure Surfer could beat Darkseid, Surfer can RESTRUCTURE MOLECULES...Darkseid is typically a physical being who's molecules I'm pretty sure can be changed, self-professed GOD or not he is physical. Surfer can pwn Darkseid. And if Doom has pwn'd Surfer...then yeah following that logic Darkseid would lose. Darkseid has taken on Galactus but I'm certain Galactus could just eat up Darkseid in a real-world non-comic book scenario. Their actual crossover as usual was decided by writers to be a toss-up but obviously if they battled to the death, Galactus wins, he is a planet eater.

If Doom has taken power off Galactus and beaten all the beings you mentioned, then I just can't see Darkseid taking Doom.

GL rings can pwn most of anything in DC. Nuff said.

Darkseid is powerful, his omega beams can kill upon contact and he's immortal. But if Batman could kill Darkseid once and Superman has beaten Darkseid numerous times in the past, I'd be daring enough to say- Doom would beat Darkseid too.

And again- I love Darkseid I'm a huge Superman fan. But I KNOW when my favorite characters can lose.
SageMode

And with Doom's accomplishments, Id'd love to see what he'd do in a bout with Darkseid. Thats would be EPIC!!!!
LP4
LP4 - 5/26/2011, 7:02 PM
@Sagemode- Fan-wise I would vote for Darkseid. But going off what Intruder said, IF true...Doom wins.

Unless of course "Intruder" thinks Darkseid could beat- Thor, Galactus, Silver Surfer and the Beyonder.

Darkseid is an obvious powerhouse. But I see Sinestro as wielding more power. Darkseid obviously in the physical sense but Sinestro's ring can penetrate most if not all of Darkseid's defenses. Parademons? Female Furies? Granny Goodness? Desaad? Yeah I don't see any of them putting up nuttin against Sinestro.

Darkseid's omega-effect is powerful it can wipe out ANY target upon contact and won't stop following its target until its hit it. But can it wipe out Sinestro with his ring? I am on actually on the fence with that one...but I mean Sinestro has that damn ring. Plus BATMAN has dodged the Omega-Effect once before...lame as that is...it did happen.

Knowing Darkseid, Sinestro's fear ring is something Darkseid would probably want to attain for ultimate power. Batman has said it himself before that the GL ring is the closest thing to ULTIMATE POWER in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE and that's just what Sinestro has- ultimate power over the entire universe.

@Intruder- I'm surprised you'd think a guy with ultimate power like Sinestro, couldn't beat Doom. Yet you seem to think based on all that Doom has done and "accomplished" Darkseid would still beat him...?

I KNOW Darkseid-stuff. I love that villain. He is actually my 4th fav comicbook villain ever created for any universe. So I know my stuff on that guy and you can see it too with my responses. But based on Sinestro's power, holy [frick]. And I don't see how being "to damn devious" can actually stand up to someone with ULTIMATE POWER.

LP4
LP4 - 5/26/2011, 7:09 PM
@Intruder- Like i said- Batman has said it himself that the GL rings are the closest thing anyone can have to ultimate power in the universe. That is a weapon I'm certain Darkseid would LOVE to attain. Darkseid loves taking artifacts of power- hence he tried to use the Infinity Gauntlet during a DC/Marvel crossover and he's always trying to attain the anti-life equation.

I trust Batman's opinion- he's smart as FU*K. AND he's the GODDAMN BATMAN.

Again I am no fan of Sinestro or GL stuff. But I know when a character's power is outmatched. Possessing a weapon that is the CLOSEST THING TO ULTIMATE POWER IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE is something not to be taken lightly. And again that is something both Darkseid and Doom would want to attain. Sinestro curbstomps Doom.

@Intruder- I'm back from Church. If you're trying to tell me that Darkseid is more powerful than BOTH Sinestro and Doctor Doom, then I'm sorry but do you honestly know ANYTHING about Darkseid?

You can't just say he has no interest in GL rings without hard facts to back it up, fact- Darkseid LOVES attaining artifacts of great power. There is no reason for him to not want a GL ring, I'm sure he'd love it but as he told a GL Corps member once for him to- "go back to Oa offworlder" he would love the rings I'm sure but his #1 priority is APOKOLIPS and protecting it.

In any case, like i said- Batman said the GL rings are the closest things to ULTIMATE POWER in the entire universe. The rings choose certain individuals who are "worthy" to wield them. Yeah there are thousands who have them...thousands who are WORTHY from all expanses of the UNIVERSE. Aliens from all corners of many galaxies are Corps members, so yeah thousands have rings but when you account for the ENTIRE EXPANSE of the Universe...that isn't very many. The ring doesn't just choose anyone but you make it sound like ANYONE can have a ring and that's just not the case. I'm not hyping up the rings too much, you're simply down-playing them too much.

Mongul in terms of physicality is on par with Darkseid. Mongul was BITCHIFIED by Sinestro and took orders from him during the Sinestro Corps War.

@marvel72- Do you actually believe Darkseid can beat both Sinestro AND Doctor Doom? That's something that Intruder is trying to say. And Intruder also believes that Darkseid can beat- Galactus, Silver Surfer, Odin, Thor and The Beyonder.

Look I love Darkseid but I don't see how he could honestly beat Doom, Sinestro, Silver Surfer, Thor...GALACTUS. [frick] I mean Galactus is the devourer of WORLDS.

Honestly, if you read and compare their powers, Doom blows Sinestro out of the water.
Besides, how many times has Doom come back from the dead?

After his incident with the Marquis of Death, he literally reshaped his entire being. He changed every molecule of his entire body.

As stated before, he has taken on Gods.
Yes, Sinestro's ring can do a lot, but in the end, that's all it is: a ring.

Once Sinestro runs out of power, which he probably would pretty quickly after a run in with Doom, he would be powerless.

Dr. Doom has not only his sorcery, but also his technology to rely on.
He can summon an army of monsters that could tear through any constructs Sinestro could make.

Sinestro may be smart, but he is nowhere near the level of Dr. Doom.
Doom has the upper hand on Sinestro in every category, he is even a superior hand-to-hand combatant.

Sinestro is awesome, don't get me wrong, but Dr. Doom would destroy him.

Oh yeah, don't forget he sacrificed the only woman he's ever loved to gain even more power.

Sinestro loves power, but not that much.
Doctor Doom would give anything to become more powerful, Sinestro wouldn't.

Sorry Marvel Zombies, Sinestro would win. Doom has zero defense against Sinestro making a bubble of ring energy inside Doom's body and expanding it fatally. Him taking the power of people like Galactus and Beyonder are irrelevant because such feats were highly conditional. Magic won't mean anything against the power ring more than any other form of attack.
