I have not played the first Bioshock. But I heard that you didn't have to play the other Bioshock games to jump into this one, and with rave reviews backing this game up, I figured it would make a decent purchase.
Money well spent my friends...Money well spent. After the game was over, I felt so emotionally worn down. I only had that experience with the Mass Effect games.
The storytelling was so brilliant in this game, it sucked me in to the point where it was hard to tell myself that I had to take a break. Personally, I was heartbroken by the ending, but the rest of the game was so good, that I got over it.
I know it works better as a game. But I think with the right people, it could make really good movie adaption.
