Released five and a half months ago on Friday the 13th, DoppelGanger: The Symbiote saga is the first full length fan film to come from UnCanny Studios. Its a dramatic take on the classic tale of the symbiote, one of the most well known and beloved arc's in all of Spider-Man's history.

(From FANFILMS.net)

"In times of despair... Darkness ...becomes the Light...

Everything is finally going well for Peter Parker - He's learned to balance work, school, his engagement to MJ, and of course - his duties as the ever heroic Spider-Man.

Eddie Brock has hit rock bottom - hes been diagnosed with adrenal cancer, he's lost his job, and eventually everything he once knew falls apart. To make matters worse, Brock blames it all on Peter Parker.

Enter the Symbiote - a sentient, alien goo that takes over the life of Peter - bonding with him to make him stronger, meaner, and ten times as aggressive. The symbiote turns Peter's life upside down - and after Peter finally dispatches of the symbiote in a church bell tower- it makes its way to the unfortunate, twisted soul that is Eddie Brock... giving birth to Venom.

The film also features Felicia Hardy/Black Cat (in a prominant role), Mary Jane, Harry Osborn, Anne Weying Brock, Dr. Connors, Mac Gargan, and Eddie's boss (an original for the story) Roger Valghetti. You dont want to miss this!

@anyone that feels like reading one of my famous rants...

Its weird because im reading this, and the person to direct this film is also the one that posted this article. Yet he talks as if he is just a fan that happens to like the film and hopes they do another. His [frick]ing user name is JonAtUnCanny and his fan site is called UnCanny Studios. Does he really think where that stupid? The fact that he didn't just come straight out and say hey this is my film check it out is like a big slap in the face to me...

Wow - what a happy fandom! So much anger a'swirlin'...

I didnt get the impression that he was trying to fool anyone, he says "I" several times in the article. And it was a decent fan film - I've enjoyed what I've had time to watch so far. Take it for what it is I guess - its a pretty simple article for a fan film that, like he said, has received a lot of happy feedback. Why so Serious!?
