Parasite vs Rogue - This one blows my mind. Do they absorb each other's powers back while absorbing each other's powers :) . I guess the right question would be, does Parasite need to come in physical contact? (Wikipedia says it does). If they are starting from scratch, that is, Parasite being depleted, and Rogue having her base strength, then Rogue has an advantage, since she usually protects herself from coming into physical contacts habitually. So this will be more of a fist fight and hence Rogue might win.

Mera vs Sunspot - Another good match. Fire against water. Could be a distance fight at first, with both trying to blast each other. But later if it gets close contact, the deciding factor could be that Sunspot does not have a heightened sense of invulnerability, while according to comicvine, Mera does. Even if Sunspot goes air borne, and clouds are in sight, Mera again can drown him in mid air. Mera wins. Good match though.

Batman vs Beast - Heh heh! Because he is Batman. No! Beast takes this. May be with prep Bat could have a chance, though I doubt that as well.

Bane vs Nick Fury - Fury gets his back broken. Bane wins.

The poles with 400 or 300 votes are poles that he has put in several articles. hence the reason he has 'REMATCH' under them. That means he made a fight, people voted, then he decided to use that fight again with the same pole, hence the reasons the number is so large.

Oof. Not a good day for DC today...

Parasite vs Rogue -- the big difference between the two is that Parasite can only absorb her life force, while Rogue can absorb his life force PLUS his power set. So as they're in contact with one another, Parasite's powers will wane as she absorbs them, making her stronger and him weaker by the milisecond. Plus Rogue has the strength and durability permanently stamped on her from her contact years ago with Ms. Marvel. Parasite's a goner.

Mera vs Sunspot -- as has already been stated, this would be a fish fry.

Batman vs Beast -- Adios, Bats. Hank's too strong, too fast, too agile, and comes with a background of facing and defeating opponents far more powerful and capable than even Bats himself. This one's not even fair.

Bane vs Fury -- One man in a prep/previous knowledge match against a man who even without the entirety of SHIELD at his disposal has a proven history of beating down opponents far stronger than himself? I think too many people think of SLJ Fury when the character comes to mind; he's a milquetoast compared to classic honky Fury.

@Pasto. Ah! Thanks. That would explain why I see most, if not all, of the older matches having so many votes as compared to the new matches. Makes sense to reuse older competition as character's feasts might get updated by writers.
