Danny Phantom has remained a favourite to many Nickelodeon fans. Even though the series had a very good ending, creator Butch Hartman has wanted to do a theatrical movie. If it happens, this would be my idea for it. I'll include the cast, plot and director. Let's start.
Plot: Just to start off, it does take place after Phantom Planet and the characters will be a bit older, but the story is continued from that special. Danny (Logan Lerman) and Sam (Alexandra Daddario) are still dating and Tucker (Brandon T Jackson) is still mayor. Everything in Amity Park is normal for the most part, and ghost activity is less frequent. Vlad (Jason Issacs) still holds a grudge against Danny and returns to Earth. After returning to his home, he decides to recreate Danny's old self Dan Phantom (Hugh Jackman). He believes that the best way for Danny to go is to be defeated by himself. To clone Dan, he has to get Danny's DNA and combine it with his own. He later attacks Casper High, and during a fight with Danny, he uses a needle to collect his DNA. After that, he combines his DNA with Danny's and recreates Dan. The two team up and begin to kidnap those closet to Danny. The first to go are Jack (John Goodman) and Maddie (Lauren Graham). Next, several Casper High students and Lancer (Ethan Suplee). Danny, Sam and Tucker are soon joined by Jazz (Emma Stone), Dani (Chloe Grace Mortez) and Valerie (Keke Palmer) to rescue the others. Just as they arrive at Vlad's mansion, Dan has turned on Vlad, deeming him useless. A fight between Danny and Dan breaks out while the others help the captives escape. Vlad unleases an army of ghosts upon them, leaving the group caught in a mess. The ghosts soon escape and invade Amity Park, and the war for the town begins.
Cast:
Logan Lerman as Danny Phantom
I know it's a cliche choice. But Lerman has proven that he can play a teen hero, as shown in Percy Jackson. Another thing is he can certainly handle the corny jokes that Danny woould say during a fight, and that'll happen a lot towrads the end of the movie.
Alexandra Daddario as Sam Manson
and Brandon T Jackson as Tucker Foley
I chose them mainly due to their interactions with Lerman in Percy Jackson. When I watched the film, I couldn't help but draw comparisons between the two trios. For me, it was like watching Danny Phantom, only with the Greek gods.
John Goodman as Jack Fenton
Goodman is no stranger to playing big comedic characters. I know a lot of people would like Kevin James, but Goodman fits the role a lot better. Plus, as stated eariler, the characters would be older and Goodman fits the role of an older Jack Fenton.
Laruen Graham as Maddie Fenton
Maddie is often shown as a funny, eccentric and itelligent woman in the show. Not only dose she look the part, but Graham would pull that roll off easily.
Emma Stone as Jazz Fenton
She is around the right age and she has played a high school teen twice in her carrer. The role that was most like Jazz in terms of personality is Gwen Stacy in TASM.
Chole Grace Mortez as DaniPhantom/Fenton
If you've seen the Poker House, you'd know that Mortez can play a girl with a troubled life. Granted, Dani would have a normal life in this film. Knowing her relation to Vlad and what she did for him, Vlad would certainly use that against her. Mortez would portray that very well.
Keke Palmer as Valerie Gray
Despite what a lot of people think, Palmer is a great actress. Her role in Spelling Bee dose share some similarties towards Valerie when she had money problems in the series. Despite the fact she'd have a normal life, like Dani, Vlad could use the past to distract them, which would leave him the chance to attack. This wouldn't be a hard role for Palmer.
Lucas Till as Dash Baxter
I feel like this is an obvious choice. Till can certinly play a bully, and he has the physique for the role. This would be the one role where the actor fits the character both physically and personality.
Ryan Higa as Kwan
I'm aware he's just a YouTube user. But he's proven his talent on those videos and he dose bare a strong resemblence to Kwan. For those who say he can't do it, Fred and Annoying Orange came to TV, so there's no reason Higa couldn't, and he's better then them both in the minds of many.
Francia Raisa as Paulina Sanchez
I'm aware that Megan Fox is a popualar choice for the part. The teens on this cast will be in their 20s and Fox no longer fits that role. Plus, Raisa has an accent and is a much better actress.
Jennifer Lawrence as Star
I orgianlly wanted Chelsea Staub for this role, but I went with Lawrence. Reason being she's played teen heroines in her carrer. Granted, Star isn't a large character, and Jennifer is too talented for a background character. I do plan on having Star in a much bigger role, at one point destroying a ghost.
Ethan Suplee as Mr. Lancer
Like Till as Dash, Suplee matches Lancer in personality and looks. Like Lancer, he's balding a bit. Not to mention, he's funny enough to deliver the rather corny line Lancer says to fit in with his students.
Jason Isaacs as Vlad Master/Plasmius
I think his role in Harry Potter best explains this choice. Lucius Malfoy has a lot in common with Vlad as a villain. I can't imagine anyone else better for the role.
Hugh Jackman as Dan Phantom
His role as Wolverine is why I chose him for the most part. While the two have opposite personalities, Jackman is physically similar to how Dan was portrayed. Not to mention, the two do sound somewhat similar.
Director: David Yates
Yates has proven that he can handle a teen hero film. His style for the HP films dose seem like it'd fit well in this type of movie. A script from the show's writers and him directing is how I would envision this movie.
Well, that's my idea for a DP movie. Feel free to comment.
