Hello! I saw a question on a forum that made me want to come up with an answer and post it here. An idea for a potential reboot of the DCEU. Not just having the reboot be a reboot, but a Crisis On Infinite Earths/Flashpoiint type situation. A combining of the DCTVU and DCEU worlds, making them into the same universe. Keeping whichever actors which would want to stay or could be changed based on lacking performances or characters.

Dan Stevens as Bruce Wayne/Batman

This is being done based on not just the potential leaving of Ben Affleck and based on the fact that I want to have a younger actor be Batman, someone whose more of a peer to Superman. Stevens is the right age for that.

Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman

I have nothing against Cavill as an actor. I think he mainly has misunderstandings in direction. But in case that wouldn't work out I have a 2nd choice:
Benjamin Walker

He's mainly the right age and he played Abraham Lincoln, only as a vampire hunter...

Bryan Cranston as Commissioner Jim Gordon

This is kinda obvious, isn't it?

Lauren Cohan as Selina Kyle/Catwoman

Hugh Dancy as Lex Luthor

Dylan O'Brien as Jimmy Olsen

Kate Mara as Lois Lane

This is only on the occasion that Amy Adams wouldn't return. Though I do want an actor whose more around Cavill's age.

Jane Levy as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle

Jake Gyllenhaal as Joker

Margot Robbie as Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn

Robbie works pretty well for the role I think. The only thing I'd change is this version's mostrosity of a costume and obvious changes to the Harley/Joker relationship and backstory.

Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth

Natalie Dormer as Pamela Lillian Isely/Poison Ivy

Oscar Isaac as Roman Sionis/Black Mask

Ioan Gruffudd as Professor Hugo Strange

Iain Glen as Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze

Logan Lerman as Richard "Dick" Grayson/Robin/Nightwing

Charlie Rowe as Jason Peter Todd/Robin/Red Hood

Matthew Gray Gubler as Edward Nashton-Nygma/Riddler

Garret Hedlund as Oliver Jonas Queen/Green Arrow

Katie Cassidy as Dinah Laurel Lance/Black Canary

Mark Strong as Ras Al Ghul

Morena Baccarin as Talia Al Ghul

Zoe Kravitz as Helena Bertinelli

Tom Hardy as Carter Hall/Hawkman

Sarah Shahi as Shiara Hall/Hawkgirl

Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El-Danvers/Supergirl

Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash

Viola Davis as Amanda Waller

Manu Bennet as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke

The others were harder choices, so I'm stuck with those. Same basic cast throughout though. Have a very great day!

God bless you all!

Benjamin Walker would've made a fantastic Superman six years ago. The guy will be around his 40s by the time the reboot rolls out. We would be stuck in the same Ben Affleck situation if Ben Walker were to be casted as Supes.

Imo, Superman is the hardest character to cast next to Batman. If we were to go the reboot route, then the actor would need to be really young too since the build-up for the reboot would take a good 3-4 years. Plus, another six to eight years to headline the aforementioned universe. The actor would need to be look the role and be just as talented as well.

I would get Tom Bateman to play this role since he played a similar role in the series he has headlined in Jekyll and Hyde. The guy also has tons of theater experience, so his acting ranges are definitely profound. Not to mention that he's also 27 years old standing at 6'3. The only problem is his nationality, but ehh, it's worth the sacrifice if we're getting a guy of his caliber.

Dan Stevens as Bruce Wayne feels like a stretch. Although he has the acting capablities, he doesn't have the physique nor the intimidation Batman requires. He has the smooth Bruce charisma, but an actor needs duality to play this sort of character. Plus, I think he might have his hands full with Legion atm. I doubt an actor would headline a movie AND a TV series at the same time since thats just too much crammed on the actor's schedule and range imo.

Gyllenhaul would be an amazing joker, but i doubt he would get involved in a franchise that messed up once. He's top-tier level.

Jane Levy lacks the starpower to headline as Oracle imo. Decent actress but I just could never see her as this big action star. Her acting is decent-to-mediocre to say the least. Evil Dead didnt impress me much to say the least :/

Dylan as Jimmy could work.

Ehh, Oscar Isaac already plays Apocalypse on the X-Men and he's basically one-third of the top three in the new Star Wars trilogy. Getting him in the DCEU will only exhaust fans of him being in all these CBM roles.

Coincidentally, I see Charlie Rowe as more of a Tim Drake kind of Robin. His sympathy as a character shines in Red Band Society which would be a waste to throw away imo. Guy can also headline a future Titans movie too since he definetely has the star power.

Please, no Katie Cassidy. I would be happy to see Kaitie Lotz though.

Genius pick for Rha's.

I totally agree with Barry Allen. Snyder screwed up by not involving the Flash series into his universe. It could've easily integrated if we had Barry run into another parallel universe, being the original JL universe. His existence could easily be explained in a two minute conversation with the Leaguers. Plus, it would give us Flash fans a nice reward for keeping up with the series.

Also, who would you get as Shazam? With the movie being "in the works", it seems as if his role in the DC Universe is inevitable. Imo, I would get Zane Holtz to play the role since the guy has had prior experience in headlining roles in the From Dusk til Dawn series. He has the prescence of the Captain, and can definetely play the heartfelt empathy of Billy as he exemplified in Perks of Being a Wallflower.

good job man. keep it up, cant wait to see more.
