It has been two weeks now since I started taking POLLS. My first POLL was documented to see WHO many of you wanted to see reprise in the JLA movies and the results were outstanding. After 7 days of the polls existence nearly 70% of you wanted Hollywood to keep the continuity of the current cast in question.
This week I was again inspired by many of you who seem to have very similar hopes in regards to the JLA and its potential to be translated correctly to the silver screen.... hence my second poll.
Many of you know by now that Peter Jackson, producer of J.R.R. Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings', is currently producing the highly anticipated prequel to the series, entitled 'The Hobbit'.
Now, to be clear on how massive of an impact the LOTR films had on the cinematic industry we have to remember that he did in fact accomplish the impossible. He took J.R.R. Tolkien's biggest achievement that was previously dismissed as "un-filmable" and adapted it to the silver screen, making it appeal to newbies and die-hard fans alike.
Well, Peter Jackson is about to do it again. Only this time the difference will be in the motion capture side of things. Filming at 48fps is something that has also never been done. Having said that, I can think of one more franchise that could take advantage of the 48fps perhaps more than any other. JUSTICE LEAGUE of AMERICA.
Of course this last poll was not about whether or not the 48fps technique should or shouldn't be used in the JLA, it just makes the better argument for who should indeed be elected for that producers seat.
Now after 7 days (1 week for those of you looking at your calenders ;))this poll has also brought forth some interesting results.
Here at CBM.com, 62.25% of you decided that Peter Jackson should take on JLA after he is done with 'The Hobbit', while 23.12% opposed this idea. BUT then again, 14.62% of you voted MAYBE...translating to "this could possibly be the answer".
So Geeks and Squeaks, there you have it! 76.87% of you have decided that Peter Jackson could be the key to giving us the EPIC JLA experience that we have all been waiting for.
Let me know why you stand where you stand on this topic below. Thanks again for tuning in and if you are wondering why I am doing this then the answer that I can offer you is that it is because I cannot associate myself with those that believe that POLLS or VOTING in general are a waste of time. I believe that they do not go unnoticed. We the people here at CBM have a responsibility to voice our opinions and to cast our votes when the opportunities are given....otherwise we cannot complain about what finally ends up on our plates at dinner time.
