Earth One: Spider-Man - Part 1

Earth One: Spider-Man - Part 1

Story treatment involving what would happen if a teenage social-outcast nerd were to have accidentally gain the abilities of a spider... And no, the teen doesn't die, I've seen that one too many times already. Constructive criticism welcome, don't know if I will make into a full-length fan fic as of now.

Act 1

We are greeted to a sociopathic teenager named Peter Benjamin Parker, he doesn't seem to care about anyone in his school except the people he's known since elementary; except for the fact that most of the people from his elementary moved away long ago and the only person that's remained and sort of been there for him is Mary Jane Watson... Only reason being is because they're neighbors. The only real people he cares about is his Aunt May and Uncle Ben as they have looked after him since he was 3. His parents left him prior to that due to affiliations with SHIELD and thus having them tortured and executed. Peter has often displayed signs of being short tempered, quick-witted, and often talks back to his schoolmates. Peter has excelled in his academics and is placed in both honors mathematics and science; One day he visits a scientific experiment that's supposedly going to change the way the world thinks about illnessess such as cancer, the tour is guided all throughout and Peter glances over at the experiments known as cross-species. They are labeled by numbers, a code-red situation has arised due to a malfunction in the lab of Otto Octavious. Peter is bumped into several others in which he falls before trying to catch something to break his fall, instead he knocks over the glass which holds the cross-species spider, the spider bites him before scurring off. Poisoned, he tries to find his way out of Oscorp alone and tumbles onto the main entrance before being carried away by medics.

Act 2
Peter wakes up to find himself in a treating facility in Oscorp, he looks over as a bunch of scientists are examining his blood analysis. He tries to break himself free but it is no use as he is sedated soon after, meanwhile the Parker family is looking for their nephew and posting up missing posters as it has been over 48 hours since they last saw him, nobody seemed to care. Back at the secret Oscorp facility, Peter is then woken up by another scientist, he regains conciousness but most important of all he feels as though his body has been regenerated, stronger even. He breaks free of the barriers holding him and pushes the scientists away, he then proceeds to run away from Oscorp but not before cameras have footage of him running off. In an office somewhere, Norman begins to observe the footage and asks for his right-hand man to keep an eye on him for a while. Peter only running in boxers has run past official security guarding the facility in the blink of an eye; he can't seem to control his newfound abilities and is then greeted by a wall, his adrenaline pumps him through and all of a sudden he starts scaling the wall as fast as a spider could climb up its own web. He gets home but not before he runs into MJ, looking at her for only a second before running into the house. Peter imediatelly hugs both his Aunt and Uncle before collapsing in their arms. He wakes up to find his Aunt at his bedside and at another hospital, but he freaks out and starts panicking. His aunt and uncle reassure him that everything is fine and that they're just running some tests to see what happened to him, the doctor comes with news that they have never seen anything like his blood before, and asks if they could run further tests to which Peter rudely rejects. He stays there for another month before coming back home; back at school he's been teased names now and is being pushed around by basketball jock Flash Thompson, Peter snaps and punches him in the gut. The principal calls his Uncle to come pick him up for the day, on the drive home Uncle Ben gives him a lecture on how he knows Peter is not capable of making friends with others but urges him to look beyond that point, he then continues on to say that he knows his newfound abilities indeed give him an upper hand, but just because he can do it, doesn't give him the right to. There he delivers the famous line, "With great power there must also come great responsibility," Peter laughs at the line and shrugs it off telling him that the people that surround him at school are nothing but apes and monkeys.

Act 3
Peter goes up to his room and stays there all night researching all about spiders and their effects, wanting to get on the same page Oscorp is. Downstairs, May and Ben are playing a game of checkers before they hear the back-door shut. Both of them go to investigate the disturbance while Peter is listening to his music at full-blast, Ben then calls Peter's name once downstairs before checking his bedroom to which he just asks if that was him who closed the backdoor, in which Peter replied no. They hear a scream downstairs and go run down to see that May is being held by the robber at gunpoint - he asks for Ben's wallet and to tell Peter to stay still. The robber runs away with the money and pushes May to the side, Ben tries to catch May but he himself is shot at point-blank range. Instead, Peter catches both his aunt and uncle, and sets May aside to look at Uncle Ben. Peter tries to apply pressure and keep him elevated but it's too late: Uncle Ben is dead.

@SpiderHyphenMan

Dark good. If not a little too reminiscent of Ultimate Spider-Man's origin story. I don't care about the wallet part, that's a stupid thing to complain about. I like this so far and am interested in what you got next.
