Five 1680 custom wallpapers from the two new Thor pics we were fed by Marvel Studios this week

I darkened them bit, and ramped up the contrast, trying to get them inside a 1680x1050 jpg.
The last one I tried that Sin City- style colour isolation. I with they were higher res, but I work with what we get!

Not to sound like a prick but all you did is darkened them and in others zoomed in

nothing exceptional there, if you ask me

I've done plenty of things, I do this for a living, Graphic artist (there I go sounding like a prick again)

@ Loganace - No worries. Graphic artist eh? I hope you can tweak some of the latest CBM shots(Thor, GL) into pro-looking wallpapers. There's some great stuff in SHH boards. My one trick is just this: darken and zoom! I don't use any fancy Photoshop, just Windows 7 Paint and Office Picture Manager but I'll pick up more ideas over time.
I just added a Green Lantern Wallpaper - same M.O. - dark, dark, dark! LOL!

You should really tryout photoshop, it's really easy once you get the hang of it

that Green lantern one is quite nice, but the problem is for some reason the black in the background is different from the one around GL's face and the GL logo, it might not be noticeable on some screens but on my I can clearly see the difference and just sayin you might want to look into that darkening around those parts would help :)

@Loganace - Thanks, I'll give Photoshop a try this week. Thanks for the recommendation. I suppose it is the industry standard.
I'm really surprised at learning of the difference between the shades of black - I usually only notice when I stand up and look down at my LCD screen, so I can imagine when it's noticeable, it would look like a terrible hackjob!
So with that in mind alone, I think I should definitely take your professional advice.
I do envy some of the other manippers out there, but there's nothing like having a fun shot at an official pic!
