My choices for who should play the main characters in a live action version of the hit video game!

I know that its incredibly unlikely that this movie will ever be made! However, I'm sure that any fans of the game will agree with me when I say that if it were to be made then it would be epic! I've based my choices on the videogame versions of the characters rather than the comic book or current movie ones so I hope you guys think they're a good fit! This is my first DC fan cast so enjoy!

Adrian Pasdar as Bruce Wayne/Batman

Although I'm not a fan of Heroes, this guy has always impressed me with his performance everytime I've caught a few minutes of the show! I'm a big fan of Bale so I'd like to see him stay on as Batman for a while but Pasdar would be my top choice for a replacement and the perfect actor for an adaptation of the game with an older, more mature Batman - a role that I think Pasdar would nail!

AAOracle

If a movie version were to follow the same pattern as the game by having Oracle only as a voice relaying information to Batman then I think Bell is the perfect choice. Her voiceover work in Assassins Creed I & II is impressive and I think she has the right type of voice and personality for this part.

Bruce Willis as Commissioner Gordon

If Marvel hadnt gone the Ultimate route with Nick Fury then Willis would have been my first choice for that role. I think that he'd do a great job playing that type of character and Gordon happens to be another character that I think he's ideal for. Put a wig and mustache on him and I also think that he'd look perfect for the part!

Rockmond Dunbar as Aaron Cash

He may have played a prisoner in Prison Break but I think he'd do an excellent job playing the guard with a grudge against Killer Croc! He portrays a bad ass brilliantly and I dont think he'd have any problem with this type of role.

James Franco as The Joker

Though he never got the chance to play a full on psychotic Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3, his performance in that movie (as well as his diverse range of acting skills shown in other films like Pineapple Express) makes me think he'd make an excellent Joker! Mark Hamill's voice over performance was perfect in the game, but for a live-action version Franco is my top choice.

Billie Piper as Harley Quinn

An excellent actress that has become best known for her role as Rose in Doctor Who. Although I agree with many of you that Brittany Murphy is a great choice for this role, I wanted to think of someone else and I think Piper would do a great job at playing a completely different type of character and I also happen to think she looks completely perfect for this part!

Yeah, I know that two major Doctor Who stars in one movie may be a little much but this movie will probably never get made so who cares, lol! I actually think that Tennant is perfect for a live action version in the Nolanverse but if they were to just use the characters voice like in the game then I also think that he's the best choice for that as well!

If they were to include Scarecrow in a similar fashion to the game (in fantasy type sequences) the I think that Serkis is a perfect choice. His voicework in past movies and games has been excellent and I think he'd do an amazing job at doing the characters creepy mannerisms!

AAKillerCroc

Blum is a well known voice actor in videogames and his work in Arkham Asylum where he actually voiced Croc was perfect so I'd be happy to see him return and voice the character in a live action version.

AABane

A character like Bane would obviously have to be mainly CGI but if his voice and face had to be based on anyone I would pick Butler because as 300 proved ("This is Sparta!") he has an incredibly powerful voice suited to this type of villain!

Eva Green as Poison Ivy

I think that Green both looks and sounds perfect for this part. I also think that she has the right qualities needed to play this character.

Ben Foster as Mr Zsasz

He may be my first choice to play Electro but as 30 Days Of Night and 3:10 To Yuma showed, Foster is great at playing a psychotic type villain making him perfect for this character in both personality and looks!

Great casting! Don't really like the Batman choice, just seems kind of douchey.

Josh-Overall-Good job but that is a lot of CGI characters. Scarecrow & Bane s/b live characters with some CGI just to buff Bane up ala Juggernaut X3. Vinnie Jones or a similar body style could pill it off

I thought Franco would make a good Joker too at least if they wanted to keep Joker going in the current franchise.... till the thought of Joseph Gordon Levitt popped into my head after seeing 10 Things I Hate About You (my generation's Breakfast Club). JGL looks just like Ledger.i'm sure he could do the voice too. but Franco would be choice 2. lol he's so good at what he does. watched MILK (yeah, so? i watched it, wanna fight about it?!) and absolutely was blown away by his acting and his willingness to go "too far" for most actors. but yes, good casting. don't really dig Bruce for Gordon though. it sucks that Gary Oldman is like the perfect Commish lol

@DogsOfWar I was totally thinking about that suit! X3 came on the other day on FX's Dvd on Tv thing and they showed him before and during the application of the suit. my mom walked in and saw it and thought it was real for like 5 mins. i had to tell her.
a suit done right could work! hell, make it have some animatronics in it so that it pulsates. lol

ClintEastwood: Thanks! To be honest, I'm not that familiar with Heroes so I wasnt judging his character in that show on whether he'd make a decent Batman or not - I just think he's a great actor and a good fit for the role!

DogsOfWar: Cheers bud! I should've been little clearer - characters like Scarecrow and Bane would be a mix of CGI rather than CGI only! I guess an X-Men 3 style suit could work pretty well for Bane actually - good thinking!

ManOfIron: Thanks! I havent really seen Levitt in anything to be honest but I obviously agree with you that Franco would make a great Joker! He's probably my #1 choice as a substitute for Heath Ledger (who it is obviously near impossible to replace) if they decide to use The Joker in the next Batman movie! Gary Oldman is perfect as Gordon but I wanted to come up with someone else and Willis just fits IMO! :)

Keven: Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you liked a few of them at least, lol! Seriously though, I guess these are sort of fanboy picks! But as this movie will probably never be made I didnt see the harm in making some choices that I normally wouldnt (two actors from the same show being in this movie for example) However, I actually think that Butler and Franco are decent choices for those parts (even in the Nolanverse) and even though I too hate Heroes I wouldnt mind seeing Pasdar as Batman! :P

UHM YEA!! never fail man never fail...I would still love to see Ex Machina thats a great series and Brian K. Vaughn is the man of course I'd like to see you cast for that. Also for some reason I see James franco as the Mayor of that him. O go to the iron man trailer post haha see what i said to the douche complaining about the Triangle

LEE: Hehe, thanks bud! You dont like Piper for Harley? That was one of my favourite choices! She's an amazing actress and she's done a lot more than just Doctor Who in the UK so I'm more than sure she'd be excellent in the role!

Johnny Depp for The Riddler is a great casting choice but as I'd like to see him as Dr. Strange and I think that Tennant is perfect for Riddler I couldnt choose him, lol! Now that Tennant is starting out in the US, a big role like that would be perfect for him and his part in one of the past Potter films showed he can play a great mad villain

DogsOfWar: Of course you're not stepping on toes dude! I'll head over there now to check out what you've said but your earlier idea of doing the cast in appearence order created the idea of doing it as a history of the Marvel Universe type thing (which is a brilliant idea and one that you'll be getting the credit for when we hopefully get around to making the thing!)

I like TENNANT but he's a perfect WEATHER WIZARD, though you probably don't know that character??!

I know DEPPS a great DOC STRANGE but if REYNOLDS can have two roles, why cant he??? Its a hero role in MARVEL U and a villain role in DC U!!

Awesome cast bro.

Great to see my picks of Green as Ivy and Tennant as Riddler up there. I don't care what anyone says, Tennant would be the perfect Riddler.

Not a fan of the Batman choice though. I don't really have another choice (Henry Cavill would be my first choice for Bats, but I don't know about an AA Batman). Maybe Eric Bana.

Bell is an interesting choice for Oracle, though I think Amy Adams makes a perfect Babs. Plus I think Bell should be Supergirl.

I like Willis as the Commish.

Franco is intriguing. Not one who I'd personally pick, but he'd definitely be a good potential Joker.

Decent Harley choice. Though I do prefer Murphy :)

Really cool Scarecrow pick. I'd love to see that one happen.

Croc is perfect, and Bane is a great choice.

Perfect Zasz choice. I'm loving that idea.

Ummm no….I think James Franco is awesome but he’s not right for the Joker. Crispin Glover always.

Interesting Harley choice but she can’t pull off a decent American accent…it really sounds awful.

I can see Foster as Zsasz. Not as Electro though.

An alright cast Josh, not as good as usual I must say but Serkis as Scarecrow really grabbed me.

I've never seen Piper act but she has the look down cold for Harley :)) Eva Greene and Kristen Bell i can't stand though but the rest seems good! Of course my favorite pic for Riddler is Depp but i guess i could do with Tennant the sniveling pimple as a quirky riddler. But it's not my favorite rendition of the character.

LEE: I love the books but I've never really been a fan of the Potter films either - the acting by the likes of Radcliff is crap IMO and its only the older, quality actors who make the movies worth watching! Depp could have two roles of course but Tennant would do a better job I think! I dont think I saw your article - I'll go look for it! Thanks for the tip! :)

TYLER: Thanks bud - I appreciate your comments! :) Excellent idea casting Bana as Batman! I would never have even thought of him for the role!! It was in fact you who put the idea of Tennant as Riddler into my head but I completely forgot that you cast Green as Ivy as well! I struggled with casting Batman in all honesty so I went with the only actor I've seen suggested on here that I like the look of! Cavill is another decent choice though! Bell as Supergirl? Wow, that is an excellent idea! That is a perfect roll for her!! And as for the rest, I'm glad you like them because as someone who isnt really into DC all that much I put a lot more thought and time than usual into this cast! I'm not sure whether she can pull off an American accent or not (surely its better than UnWorthington's though, lol) but I think Piper is a great alternative to Brittany Murphy as Harley Quinn!

Ryden: Cheers mate - I always appreciate some detailed feedback! :) If this wasnt as good as usual I'd have to blame the fact that I'm not all that familiar with DC characters. I know the basics and I've read a lot of major Batman storylines in the past but I'm more of a Marvel man to be honest hence the fact I forgot Bane is South American, lol! However, overall I'm pretty happy with this cast especially with the few you pointed out that you liked! Franco is the perfect Joker for me though and his younger brother (currently in Scrubs) would make an awesome Iceman, lol!

Shaman: Thanks! I would never have considered Bana for Batman but its a great casting choice by TYLER! I'm not a huge fan of Green's either but I really like Bell! As for Depp, I'd like to see him in the role but I think Tennant would be even better to be honest!

@josh- Well I'm just not as enthusiastic because you are VERY GOOD at fan-casts, this one just caught me by surprise. Seriously though Andy Serkis as Scarecrow is a phenomanal choice ;D Franco would make an even better Nightcrawler man :)

I find it hard to see anyone other than Bale in the role but I wanted to cast someone different and he was the first one that I could think of who'd be a good fit for the character! Hamm's a great choice though! I'm really pleased that you like the rest though! :)

I never thought of Franco as Nightcrawler - damn, that is an amazing choice!! I really didnt think that my Serkis for Scarecrow choice would be that popular but its great to see it getting a great response! If there is any CBM role he's perfect for, IMO thats it! :)

Im seriously getting tired of Adrian Pasdar. PUT SOMEONE NEW IN TOWN!!! btw great castin luv it but Bane is suppose to be mexican. Oh and the Joker cast was shocking James F. does fit the part (sort of).

This is my first DC cast (I'm more of a Marvel man myself, lol, which explains why I forgot about Bane's nationality!) and I rarely check out DC casts so Pasdar was kind of a new choice for me! Although no one could ever replace Heath Ledger's amazing Joker I do think that Franco would do a great job in the role!

Great cast, although I'm still for Crispin Glover as the joker, the guy was born for the role, but franco is still an interesting choice.
@rockingweb Actually Bane is Santa Priscan( fictional island in the northern caribanen).

I like Adrian so I'm not adverse to him as Batman!

I don't know how good of an American accent Piper can
do but I'd surely love to see her in the Harlequin
costume! Now that would be a feast for the eyes!

BTW, Josh I have an A-Z list of pics of all the Marvel
characters. Thus it gives an A-Z list of every Marvel
character that ever was for our proposed giant fancast!

Then all we have to do is find the debut date for each character! I think my list of pictures is totally
complete!

I like them all except for Bane. I think Bane should be played by a Hispanic (and not a MCD for Kingpin kind of thing, because Bane actually is Spanish). I would probably say Javier Bardem if it's voice only.
