Jamie Bamber - Major Marcus "Marco" Rossi, U.S. Army 75th Rangers and 82nd Airborne Division
Before becoming hotshot space flyboy Lee "Apollo" Adama in "Battlestar Galactica," Jamie played the role of a British Army SAS officer/troop commander named Dennis "Dotsy" Doheny in "Ultimate Force," which compelled me to cast him as the fearless leader of the "Peregrine Falcons" special forces squad, a group hellbent on vanquishing the Rebel Army.
Character Background: In my envisioned movie, Marco is an officer in the U.S. Army's 75th Ranger regiment who cross-trained with the British Army Parachute Regiment (a.k.a. the "Paras") and the SAS before leading the Falcons on the fight against Morden's rebels.
My other choices: Steve Zahn ("That Thing You Do," "National Security"), Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Casper Van Dien (Johnny Rico in "Starship Troopers")
Rain - Captain Tarmicle "Tarma" Roving-Ryuzaki, 65th Fighter Aggressor Squadron, U.S. Air Force
"Ninja Assassin" star Ji-Hoon "Rain"/"Bi Rain" Jung, in my opinion, can pull off a smooth, suave personality that Tarma has in the games. Rain has also recently served his draft term in the South Korean Army and was also featured as a South Korean Air Force fighter pilot in "R2B: Return to Base" a.k.a. "Soar Into the Sun."
Character Background: Tarma is a Japanese-American officer in the United States Air Force. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tarma flew F-15 Eagles and F-16 Falcons as an aggressor combat trainer. He was subsequently partnered with Marco upon joining the "Peregrine Falcons" and became the troop's fighting vehicle expert.
My other choices: Jon Foo ("Tekken," "Street Fighter Legacy," "The Protector") and Shin Koyamada ("The Last Samurai")
Jamie Chung - Staff Sergeant Eri Kasamoto, 1st Airborne Division, Japanese Ground Self Defense Force
Jamie Chung has starred as Amber in "Sucker Punch," one of the cabaret girls who operates a giant mecha and flies a UH-1 Iroquois helicopter in some of the girls' fantasy missions. Miss Chung has also appeared in "Man With the Iron Fists," "Red Alert 3," and "Dragon Ball: Evolution."
Character background: Eri Kasamoto is an orphan who was picked up by the Hiroshima Police Department for its bomb squad due to her potential and tenacity. After 2 years of service with the Hiroshima P.D., Eri enlisted in the Japanese Ground Defense Force and became a combat engineer with the 1st Airborne (Paratrooper) Division before being picked up for orders to the "Peregrine Falcons."
My other choice: Grace Park (Number 8 Cylon/Sharon "Athena" Agathon/Sharon "Boomer" Valerii in "Battlestar Galactica")
Adrianne Palicki - Warrant Officer Class 2 Fiolina "Fio" Germi, Italian Army Folgore Parachute Brigade
Annie has risen to stardom from her "Friday Night Lights" days when she starred as Toni Mason in "Red Dawn" (2012 remake of the 1984 original) and, my better favorite of her roles, Lady Jaye in "G.I. Joe: Retaliation." Come to think of it, Annie's Jaye looked more like Fio in "Retaliation" than the original Jaye in the "G.I. Joe" cartoons.
Character Background: Fio was raised as a single female heir to the Germi family by her father Alessandro and mother Valeria. She was compelled by her father to serve in the military even if only for a short term. After 1 year of studying medical practice at a junior college in Genoa, Fio served 2 years in the Carabinieri (Italian National Police) before transferring to the Italian Army's "Folgore" Parachute Brigade and picking up orders to the United Nation's "Peregrine Falcons" special ops forces troop. Major Rossi is especially fond of her talents and potential, which led to him writing a recommendation for Fio's transfer to the "Falcons."
My other choices: Mary Ann Winstead (Lucy McClane in "Live Free or Die Hard") and Ali Larter (Claire Redfield in "Resident Evil") (NOTE: To be honest, it was really hard for me to select a fairly young Italian actress for the part of Fio. So, I had to settle for either an American, British, or Aussie brunette/redhead...well, mostly, American)
Brenda Song - Rumi Aikawa
I can't speak much about her but she was great in her role in "Suite Life of Zack and Cody."
Alex Reid - Major Sophia Greenville, British Army Intelligence Corps/MI6
Alex starred as Caroline Walshe, intelligence officer and lone female honorary member of 22nd SAS Regiment's Red Troop, in "Ultimate Force" alongside Jamie Bamber.
"Stonecold" Steve Austin - Sergeant Allen O'Neil, Rebel Army Mercenary Corps
Steve looks like Allen and is just bulk and brawny as him, not to mention Steve's appearance in "The Expendables." Enough said.
Robert Whitehead - General Don Morden, Rebel Army
Robert, one of the best South African actors ever, appeared in "Bravo Two Zero" as an Iraqi colonel that led a search party that captured the 8-man SAS patrol in the series. If only he can build up some more muscle and don an eye patch, he'd be able to pull of a great Morden.
OR Liam Neeson - Morden
Liam appeared as Ra's Al-Ghul in Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" series. I'm very sure he can handle the role as the mad leader of the Rebel Army.
OR Danny Trejo as Morden
Machete, Navajas ("Desperados") Carlos Santana ("Delta Farce"), Enough said.
To top it off, I have 2 homemade live-action trailers. Please enjoy, ladies and gentlemen:
