Fan Cast: Millar & McNiven's Nemesis

Fan Cast: Millar & McNiven's Nemesis

A fan cast for the upcoming movie Nemesis, based on Millar & McNiven’s Nemesis. Who is Nemesis? You haven't dressed up as him for Halloween, you've never watched his TV show or picked up his action figure, but he is one bad ass dude.

As many of you all know, Millar & McNiven’s Nemesis has been picked up by Fox and hopefully be transferred to the big screen. I picked the book up recently and within a few days, already read it at least 10 times. It is an amazing story with awesome characters, my favorite being, of course, Nemesis.
So without further ado…

Nemesis played by Chris Pine

I went through a lot of thinking and finally came up with Chris. After looking back on his performance in Star Trek, I thought that he would be fantastic as Nemesis. He has the jaw structure and im sure could do great cussing out the cops he kills. He is a great actor and would do amazing in this role.

Previous Works: Star Trek, Unstoppable, Carriers
Others I Considered: Jared Padalecki, Cillian Murphy

Blake Morrow played by Daniel Craig
Photobucket

Although the fan favorite is Dennis Quaid, I went with Daniel Craig. Daniel Craig looks very much like Blake Morrow and I think would look right age-wise as well, being almost 50 years old. He is a great actor and would bring so much justice to this role.

Previous Works: Quantum of Solace, Defiance, Casino Royale
Others I Considered: Dennis Quaid, Viggo Mortenson

Stuart Lee played by Don Cheadle

I was going to go with Denzel Washington, since him and director Tony Scott have done so much together, but I went with someone younger than my Blake Morrow choice. Don Cheadle could pull of Stuart Lee amazingly, just watch Traitor. Plus, the look is spot on.

Previous Works: Iron Man 2, Traitor, Brooklyn’s Finest
Others I Considered: Denzel Washington, Idris Elba

Peggy Morrow played by Cate Blanchett

Being a year younger than Daniel Craig, I thought this was a spot on choice. Cate is an amazing actress, with a very impressive resume. She is definitely one of the best actresses out there today.

Previous Works: Robin Hood, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Others I Considered: Catherine Keener, Diane Lane

Howard Anderson played by Edward Asner
Photobucket

Edward Asner is known for doing a lot of voice work. He is the voice of Carl Fredrickson in Pixar’s Up and has done many CBAMs, animated movies, most recently All-Star Superman as Perry White. I think he has the look and I’m sure can bring his talent behind the screen to in front of it.

Previous Works: All-Star Superman, Up, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
Others I Considered: Michael Gambon, Jack Nicholson

The President played by Jon Voight
Photobucket

This one isn’t that big of a role, but a very critical role in the storyline. I was looking for an actor who I could see doing what he can for his country. His roles in the National Treasure movies and in Transformers kind of showed me that Voight is the right choice.

Previous Works: 24 TV Series, National Treasure Movies, Transformers
Others I Considered: Jonathan Pryce, James Caan

The Man played by Peter Fonda
Photobucket

He already played The Man behind it all in Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, why not again? He was great in that role, and could bring the mysteriousness needed to play The Man in a Nemesis movie. Plus he isn’t a newcomer to CBM’s, playing Mephisto in Ghost Rider.

Previous Works: 3:10 to Yuma, Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, Ghost Rider
Others I Considered: Michael Gambon, Bill Nighy

I hope you liked my FanCast!
For you all who haven’t read Millar & McNiven’s Nemesis, here is a basic concept of the character…

What if the Joker was Batman?

@PaulRom - My first choice was Jared Padalecki, after seeing him play a bad ass in Supernatural when he lost his soul made me go for him first, but for some reason i choice Chris bc he has more big screen experience.

@axelbratoski - Thanks dude! (:

Not diggin' Pine, but the rest is decent.
Nemesis is odd for me.
While reading it I thought it was fun and cool,
then thought the end was kinda bleh.
Then 10mins later I thought the whole thing sucked lol

I like the idea of Pine as Nemesis, Smokin Aces, Confession, Carriers, and even Star Trek have features of Nemesis in his role.
But its just my opinion, so thanks for the help! (:
