JoshW: I've been a fan of this team since they were first introduced and would love to see a version of them on the big screen at some point in the future! They really added a new dimension to the X-Men's corner of the Marvel Universe as the science team that Beast put together to reverse the effects of M-Day, and repower the mutant population and I couldnt resist giving them their own fan cast! Below is all of the information you need about the team and their history as well as the actors who I think are the best choices to bring them to life from page to screen! Enjoy! :)
X-CLUB
What is the X-Club?
In order to save mutantkind from the effects of M-Day, Beast and Angel had to gather a team of specialists to help them. They gathered Madison Jeffries, Yuriko Takiguchi and Dr. Nemesis, and then returned to Graymalkin Industries to meet their final member, Dr. Kavita Rao, who was formerly trying to cure mutation.
What have they done?
Together, they tried to figure what can turn the X-gene back on. Nemesis brought up pre-mutant DNA from his parents as an example. They also assembled a time travel device to help them locate Cable and the Mutant Messiah in the far future. However, the devices were only prototypes, brought together in a short time. The side effects included biological acceleration so therefore the travellers would have to return to the present in thirty three and a half hours.
Now that the X-Club are located on Utopia with the rest of the mutant population, their primary tasks is to solve the problem of the island sinking. From assistance from Magneto, they finally decided to build pillars to support it and also give a place where the Atlanteans can live. They also discovered the Nanobots sent in with the Predator-X's and that Magneto was bringing back the bullet that hosts Kitty Pryde.
The Members
One of the original X-Men, perhaps most notable for his blue, rough exterior yet kind and gentle heart and intelligence. He also served terms with the Avengers, the Defenders and X-Factor.
Yes, I want him to play Reed Richards as well but I can honestly not think of an actor who would be better suited to play Hank McCoy! His look, voice and acting style makes him perfect for the role in my opinion and after seeing his unique performances in movies like Public Enemies and Watchmen I’m sure that he’s the right guy for the job!

Warren Worthington III is Angel, a mutant and member of the X-Men. He sports large angelic wings, as his name suggests, which allow him to fly, as well as unique blood that allows him to heal himself and others.
I think this is probably the third or fourth actor I’ve cast as Angel but it’s also the one I’m happiest with. When he was rumoured as being cast as Cap, I wasn’t that happy but he was definitely one of the better names suggested. However, I’d say that he’s suited to Angel more as he both looks the part and his previous roles show that he would fit the characters personality well.

One Tree Hill
After helping to create the original Human Torch, he was seemingly killed by a later android that he created. However, he has recently resurfaced as a Nazi hunter and was recruited by Beast for his science squad. It is revealed that he is a first generation mutant, born in 1906.
In my opinion, Sutherland would be perfect for this role. Although he may be a little young, I think he looks the part and has the right demeanour and personality that would really translate well when adapting this character from the comic books and onto the big screen.

Madison Jeffries is a mutant with the power to psionically restructure metal, plastic, and glass and often uses a battle armour. He was one of the few mutants to retain their superhuman powers during the M-Day event.
I struggled with this casting choice especially but I would say that Adelstein is perfect for this role. He was excellent in Prison Break but showed a far less serious side in Scrubs which showed me that he’s a very diverse actor who would have no problem with playing a character like this.

A scientist enlisted by S.H.I.E.L.D. for his advice and expertise when Godzilla appears in America. He died in Uncanny X-Men #515 at the age of 86 from old age.
He’s over 20 years too young for this character and is Chinese rather than Japanese so I’ll admit right now that this is the weakest part of this cast! However, I think he’s a great actor and could easily be made to look older. I would have liked to have found someone better suited to the role but I’m fairly happy with this casting choice!

Dr. Rao is a world-renowned geneticist from India who developed a serum called "Hope" which could "cure" mutants, turning them back into normal humans. Beast chose her for his team because of her vast knowledge of mutants.
Although she’s mostly only had bit parts on TV so far in her career, I think she’s a great actress who is capable of a lot more. She’s one of those actors that may only have a small part in something but is memorable for it after. Her recent stint on 24 is a good example of this and I’d really like to see her in this role.
