Fan Fic: Doctor Strange

Awesome cast. The only problem is that Chow Yun Fat is too old to play Wong. I like Daniel Dae Kim for the role.

@LEE- I DO read the comics, and Strabge as AT LEAST 50 when he starts, Neeson is Doc Strange dude. ;)

First line of the entry says "Born 1930", and the first Doctor Strange story came out some time in the 60s...(63, I believe), so technically, he was 33, although I found it hard to believe that he could be so young and be a "world-renowned neurosurgeon", all the math checks out--four years for "regular" college, putting him at 22 or 23 (assuming he started out around the age of 18 or 19-ish), followed by the eight years of medical school it takes to become a neurosurgeon, which puts his age at 30, plus the three (or, more realistically four or five) years it would take to become "world renowned" as a neurosurgeon, puts him between 33 and 35.

I hate math, that's why I refused to major in anything that required a math credit, thus--I haven't done any math besides "what do I tip them?" or "how much does that cost?" in ages, so if I screwed up, just recalculate it--all the years I listed are (to my knowledge) correct.

And, I actually know a woman who's in her early thirties that has had a natural grey streak in her hair for years--we call her Rogue.

Anyway--my point was simply that (for the most part) age shouldn't be THAT MUCH of a factor in choosing Doctor Strange, because though I see him as a guy in his mid forties, he is actually a decade younger. It was directed towards the LEEE/Ryden argument, not your cast choices, which, as I said above, are all pretty good. And to be perfectly honest, though the character have to would be portrayed differently depending on who played him, I wouldn't mind seeing Depp of Neeson as Strange--I think they'd both do a good job.

And yeah, we do call her Rogue, and she hates it..but in an only semi-related story, her brother's best friend is a comic artist (Tom Mason--his "biggest" work was doing the color work for "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash"; He gave me signed copies of each issue for my birthday last year...) and he ALSO did the color work for the picture of Crimson Dynamo that RadBracket posted in the Iron Man 2 Official Trailer thread. (which I own the original copy of, after a weeks worth of pestering him.)

Great cast! :) I'd be happy to see either Depp or Nesson as Strange, though I have to admit that Neeson's voice is better suited to the role! Your Ancient One and Wong picks are great and I'm glad that you agree with me on the other few!
