This is a story I came up with and have been developing for many years now. I've been wanting to adapt this story into a comic or even a film someday, if ever given the chance. (If any artist here is looking for a story to adapt for a comicbook I'd be happy to work with you. Just contact me) But this story is very different than most. Some people might read this and see something that has similrities to other characters or stories. But just telling YOU looking for heroes or villains to base my characters off of never took place. Thought of this idea completely on my own. So...enough jibber jabber. Let begin.

This is 1 of 3 stories, mind you.

The story begins with a drug cartel taking place just outside a metropolitian city. The drug lord overseeing the operation watches from a distance as the operation takes place. However the operation is sabotaged by the city's shining hero, GENERAL FREEDOM. This failure angers the drug lord to take desperate measures.

He collects 6 of the world's most dangerous mercenaries and hires them to work together as a team for a prize of $10 million each. If anyone is dies, or is killed, that share of the money gets divided to the rest of the surviving team members. They are all selectively skilled in different fields. 1 is a sharpshooter from Shanghai. 1 is a former mercenary brute from South Africa that favors heavy artillery. Another is an American techie who's skill with a pistol outmatches anyone else's. And 2 are Irish brothers who are reunited after long years apart(The reason being reunited is the job of course) and are both are very skilled infantry gunners. Their job? Kill GENERAL FREEDOM.

One problem. He's indestructable. His powers include invulerability. Superstrength. Flight. Destructive energy that shoots out of his hands. And Speed. A tall African-American donning a white costume, domino mask and long white cape. This guy has gone up against more than just criminals and mercenaries. He's crippled and even killed the world's most deadly foes and villains. He's also not the kind of hero that anyone would immediately jump at the chance to kill him. HTo the public, he has the face of a Superman, but to the criminals and villains he's a cold hearted killer with no remorse. He's the black and white perfectionist who breaks a man's leg for jaywalking.

With time and careful consideration the 6 mercs take the job and begin to unravel the mystery of "How to Kill an Indestructable Man."

They set up base outside the city and begin to profile their "target" which proves to be difficult. They look back in history of news footage, newspaper stories, eyeewitnesses on how he fights, what his appearance is like, how strong he truly is. They decide they need to dig much deeper and more dangerously close. They begin to break prisoners, lucky enough to survive Gen. Freedom's wrath, out of prison and interrogate them to get any info. that could be helpful. which they find out the same thing: He's cruel, ruthless, and has no apparent weakness." This troubles the team and decide that Gen. Freedom's enemies have no benefit. So they decide to find out from his friends...

They are able to track one hero down known as Volar, a young hero with the ability to fly at supersonic speeds. His costume is a blue and brown colot with no cape and and a bowstaff as his weapon of choice. They capture him and interrogate him by beating him to the point of near death which he finally talks and says there is no way to beat Gen. Freedom and that even he doesn't know. Volar is able to escape and fly out just over the ouside city's ocean before the team's sniper shoots him down which he falls into the water never to be seen again.

The team re-evaluates their situation and approach to how to kill Gen. Freedom. They are immediately ambushed by a team of high tech soldiers with future tech armor and weapon who try to kill them. After a long battle the mercs are able to eliminate the soldiers and discover they work for a SuperVillain known as Zabvenie(Oblivion in Russian)

The team search heavily for this Zabvenie for he has been widely known as Gen. Freedom's arch-nemesis for years. What is known to many is that he was killed by Gen. Freedom years ago. So the team searches for the villain to find out what he knows about his long time rival. They find him in his own built base underneath the ground in an Arizona desert. They fight their way through the soldiers and guards, despite their technological disadvantages, and make their way to Zabvenie who sits on his large throne(idolizing himself as a god). His costume is armored and very high tech with a dark purple color with only one arm. His face is hidden with a high tech midieval helmet(no there is no cloak or cape. he's not Dr. Doom)

They ask him why he's trying to kill them. He responds by saying it's not their responsibility. Zabvenie is somewhat resonsible for the creation of Gen. Freedom. He was a brilliant scientist who helped created most of his technology and decided to use it for himself by gaining status as a hero while dispensing his on ideal of justice. In English, Gen. Freedom's powers are not within himself, he created his own superhero costume that give him superpowers.

After the stunning reveal, the mercs decide to kill Zabvenie but they shoot past him hitting his throne, revealing that its a hologram. The base begins to shake and tremble, collapsing overhead. The team manages to escape the base to the surface before it is destroyed.

Now with the knowledge of where and how his powers originate they are able to pinpoint his weakness. His humanity. They begin a plan by utalizing the American's talent of tech by creating a small personal EMP device for all of them attaching it to their suits. After gearing up from ammo, gernades, rifles, and heavy artillery the make their way into the city for thier assault.

They come into the city and start destroying everything and everyone, from convienent stores to small kids. They take many hostages, including women and small children, and place them in 3 large vans rigged with C-4. Through failed efforts from the police and SWAT teams, this death and destruction finally grabs the attention of GENERAL FREEDOM who comes in with a fellow hero dressed in a dark pink/ purple color with the ability to emit destructive energy beams from her hands(She is a superhuman) called Bright Beam.

GEN. FREEDOM makes threats to the mercs and demands to let the hostages go. The mercs reveal they know his secret and they have no chance against him. Gen. asks "Why they do all this: destroying the city, killing people, he now knows who is responsible for the disappearance of Volar." The mercs answer by saying: "Nothing personal. It's just a job." And detonates the Vans holding the hostages, killing them instantly. Shocked and instantly enraged, GEN. FREEDOM and Bright Beam immediately throw everything they have at them, unleashing their full fury.

GEN. flies straight toard them just as the American merc intiates the team's EMP devices which instantly disrupts his powers rendering him human and vulnerable. The mercs are about to make their move against him until Bright Beam shoots at the American, kiling him instantly. GEN. is able to get to safety for Bright Beam to take care of the rest as she fights long and hard until she's shot in the head by the Sniper. The mercs look for the GEN. which he's able to suprise them with a gun from a dead police officer and shoots in the head and kill the Sniper and the South African Brute. The 2 Irishmen then try to take him down at close range in the chest but he instantly gets back up(due to his suit being bulletproff) and beats them both senseless and eventually kills the younger Irish brother. This shocks and engrages the older brother. GEN. looks at him and says: "Yeah, that's exactly how I feel." They battle at a long and hard fist fight until the Irishman gets the upperhand and kills GEN. and escapes before more cops arrive.

With the job over he heads back to their base alone. As the only survior he makes the call to confirm the job completed which at that point, he is greeted by a massive group of Zabvenie troops and the drug lord who hired him. The drug lord congratulated on a job well done and says goodbye as the soldiers point their guns at him and begin to fire. The Irishman is able to escape their fire and single-handeldy take out the entire group with the weapons stashed at the base. He's able to reach the drug lord and ask where his money is. The drug lord replies: "There never was any." The Irishman shoots the drug lord dead and realizes what has really happened.

1 Week later Zabvenie hiding in another base just miles underneath Washtington DC, is greeted by the Irishman who has killed many of his troops using a full arsenal of Zabvenie's tech. he demands to know why he was used to kill GEN. FREEDOM and why he couldn't do it himself. Zabvenie explains after his supposed death he realized coming back and trying again would prove unsuccessful yet again. So he tries a different approach: Hire men to kill GEN. and if proven successful the entire world will be focused on capturing or killing whoever did it while Zabvenie suprises America off guard by killing the President and destroying Washington DC, and begining his campaign of World Domination with a strong start.

Zabvenie then asks what the Irishman is going to do about it. The Irishman replies, "Nothing. I'm a mercenary. Not a hero. I completed the job. I just want my pay." Amused by this response, Zabvenie reluctantly agrees and pays him, with the Irish merc on his way hiding in luxury. Never to be seen or heard from again.

Epilogue: The president is speaking with the Sec. of Defense and V.P. about the death of GEN. FREEDOM and what could mean about the future security of the country and what the other heroes are doing about the situation. Suddenly there is a tremenous earthquake that shakes the entire area. Instantly a huge ship rises out of the ground through in front of the White House which catches the attention of the President and everyone around the area.
