It looks ridiculous. Like the classic one is about to explode. Why do people changing the simple sh!t like this that is perfectly fine. Least it's not 3D and plasticy/rubber.

What do you mean offically confirmed?
That picture is fan-made, it's someones idea of what they think it'll look like.
It's pretty close but without a straight view of the shield we don't know for sure.

For some reason the manips don't look exactly like the logo that is on Snyder's chair. I think Snyder's design team made it look less bloated for the film. I don't like the manips but i do like the logo behind his chair.

I think the new shield is fine. Personally, I think it's pretty much kryptonian. I don't know cuz that's just me.

It is going to look great! Im 1 of the biggest supe fans and this looks like a great take on the earth 2 kal-l shield, it works, and it takes us away from the classic reeves shield. RIP. Im diggin it and I believe this will take big blue back to the top!

Yeah I'm kinda happy they actually aren't going with the typical "S" we've been so used to seeing all the time. Times are changing...so should the "S"

Funny but the leaked image of Cavill as Superman kinda looks a bit like this...pose-wise.

I like the shield, it this is what it's truly going to look like or close to it I don't mind it at all. I do admit a little cartoony at first glance, but I think it's a cool modern take on the Earth 2/Golden age Superman logo. I love the classic typical one we're use to and would've like to see that one, but they really want to bring fresh feel with the character and using a modernized Earth 2 symbol is pretty intriguing. I think people may be more surprise in how unique this Superman will be compared to the old films.

I gotta say though the hair is a little too "mangy" however, it doesn't bother me "too much." I just hope they fix it up better as filming goes on.
I can't wait to see more...

@heavykilluminati....i totally agree. and i wouldnt put it passed Nolan. He is the master of surprise. Just because he has said that there would be no interaction...DOESNT MEAN ITS TRUE. After all Hollywood is full of LIARS hehehe. I was thinking this precisely when Hathaway was saying in her interview:
'You can't imagine the things that he's doing, at least I couldn't until I read the script and I was like, 'You're really? Okay, you're going there!'
I thought wouldnt that just blow us all away if there was a Superman related cameo in TDKR? They would be utterly retarded if they didnt take this opportunity to blow this wide open. It would rock the Avengers socks off.

Me likey! More alien/Kryptonian looking! I remember Nolan saying early on that he had a different approach to the character, he couldn't believe no one had done before on film. I think he's going to focus more and the simple fact that Supes is a space alien.

The new superman shield is a disaster! We have been raised with the new version and we want that back. Superman belongs to the funs. Enough allready, with every director's experimentations.
