FANCAST: Logan's "Fantastic Four"

It's been years after the...Massacre of Baxter Building! Now here's my thoughts on a new, rebooted Fantastic Four franchise.

After the past attempts of the big screen adaptations of Fantastic Four, here's my take on a new reboot's cast. Most of them are familiar faces, some have already been in CBMs, so they know what to do. When I looked the cast over though, it seemed highly expensive, still it doesn't prevent me from casting!

You'll be familiar with some from various TV shows, and video games perhaps.

-

Hugh Laurie as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic

Already playing a genius "doctor" in House MD, Hugh Laurie is one of the most successful actors I have seen with my own eyes. He belongs to a higher place in the movie community, and the Fantastic Four blockbuster just might be his big break. Other than that, he looks the part, slightly older than it's depicted, but as I said, I'd like to see a much more mature Reed Richards after seeing Fox's recent adaptation.

-

Charlize Theron as Susan Storm/Invisible Woman

Had been in various Hollywood movies, practically proved herself. Also, she has matured ever since her career started. We've seen her in Monster, that's where it hit me, that she's a great actress. Might be a bit prestigious nowadays, so she might not be a fan of Ensemble Cast movies, but hell, it doesn't prevent me from casting her!

-

Ryan Kwanten as Johnny Storm/Human Torch

Australian actor, who is way too underrated. I've only seen him in True Blood, but he's got some serious acting chops. The role in this movie is kind of similar, as he's still gonna play the spoiled brother. He looks the part and I'm sure he can handle the role.

-

Ray Stevenson as Benjamin Grimm/The Thing

I thought of casting Chuck McCann, the 90s TAS Voice actor of 'The Thing' for the voice-over, but it wouldn't give enough screen time to Ray. So, Ray can easily take over the role, he was in The Punisher:War Zone, The Other Guys and many more. Ray Stevenson is one of many to take on this role.

-

Kirsten Dunst as Alicia Masters

The resemblance is almost uncanny with short hair. She was in the previous Spider-Man movies, so she's got what it takes to get the point. An experienced actress, although I'm not sure if she'd like to take on a secondary role such as Alicia.

-

Phil LaMarr as Uatu The Watcher [voice]

He's the most perfect The Watcher I've ever heard. LaMarr voiced Uatu in the video game Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and his 'smooth' tone is just what Uatu needs. Other than that, he had already done enough voice overs, so Phil seems like a great choice for a CGI Uatu.

-

Doug Jones as Norrin Radd/Silver Surfer

Sorry but I just couldn't do it! [ :D ] Doug Jones was the most perfect part of FF:RotSS and I'm sure most will agree with me. Recasting him, just didn't seem right. In this movie though, I would focus more on the brief romance between him and Alicia Masters, so we'd get the feeling that he was Norrin Radd once. Doug Jones is the man..

-

Gregg Berger as Galactus [voice]

We heard him as Galactus in Marvel Ultimate Alliance again. He's been in various video games and animated series, so the guy's got past. Berger sounded like the perfect Galactus with the intensity he had. Berger would be the perfect choice for a CGI Galactus.

After-Credits Cameo

Eric Bana as Namor The Submariner

As an end-credits cameo, Eric Bana should appear right before we get out of our seats! I just can't see anybody else as Namor, seeing Bana in Star Trek, in which he slightly resembled Namor, just drilled this idea into my head. Bana's Cameo as Namor, is a necessity!

And yes, that is about it. Not that many people, just the main characters, still seems expensive as [frick] though. What do ~you~ think?
