FANTASTIC FOUR: To Reboot or Go Forward

FANTASTIC FOUR: To Reboot or Go Forward

Fox is looking to develop and maintain their own Marvel Cinematic Universe and next on their list is the Fantastic Four. However, should this be a back to origins reboot or, perhaps, a forward starting point with origin flashbacks? I pose both for consideration!

What follows is an outline for a trilogy for a Fantastic Four Reboot trilogy, where we go back to the origin point AND an outline for a trilogy for a Fantastic Four Forward trilogy, where we join the team several years past the origin story as heroes.

The Core Cast would be used for either scenario.

**************************Option 1: REBOOT******************************

THE FANTASTIC FOUR

Story-

Reed Richards(30), a super genius armed with a dozen degrees, has supplemented his substantial inheritance from his scientist parents with a fortune through thousands of patents and inventions to finance his dream project: his own space ship! He had hoped the government would come on board due to the long range capabilities of his design but, they had other fish to fry and, so, Reed used the old brains for bucks plan.
He is assisted in the design, construction, and testing by his best friend, Ben Grimm(34), a top notch USMC test pilot and NASA pilot hopeful who thinks Reed is nuts but, likes the possibility of instant fame and fortune if they are successful.
They are also aided by Reed's girlfriend-though-he-doesn't-act-like-it-sometimes, Susan Storm(25), a doctor and athletic enthusiast. She convinces Reed and Ben that her brother, Johnny Storm(23), can be a valuable asset as a co-pilot since he is already a successful stunt driver and pilot.
Visiting them is Reed and Ben's college friend, Victor Von Doom, who gets Reed's help perfecting a fault line stabilizing field generator for his country. Once he has it, he returns to Latvaria. While watching the televised launch of the Richards Rocket, he flips the switch on the device and disaster ensues as it sends a seizmic wave around the world before exploding violently. Amidst the smoke and flame, Victor screams "RICHARDS!!!" as, back in the USA, the Richards Rocket launches with Reed, Ben, Sue, and Johnny aboard!
Using the moon as a slingshot, they pass Mars and Jupiter before exploring the rings of Saturn and returning to Earth. Unfortunately, Reed miscalculated fuel needs and Ben must get safely down with no fuel after entering Earth's upper atmosphere.
Crashing in the country side outside of New York City, they emerge shaky and sore but, uninjured. Then, the powers manifest!
Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing are born!
Reed recovers the data and flight recorders to try and figure out what happened. Sue sets about running medical tests on all of them. Johnny considers the magnificent possibilities of being THE hottest guy on the planet. Ben, meanwhile, deals with anger and depression as he tries to figure out how to deal with his gruesome form.
In Latvaria, Victor Von Doom comes into a large scientific lab within a huge castle but, he is no longer Victor. He is wearing a medically protective metal mask and declares to his subordinate scientists that he is now Doctor Doom and they have much work to do!
Reed informs his friends a combination of radiation from the planets they passed were unknown and had passed through his radiation shielding and them, causing their transformations. He will work tirelessly to reverse the process but, perhaps, they have an opportunity to do some greater good for the city and world with their powers. Sue tells them they are medically okay, aside from the powers. They all agree to Reed's idea, though for different reasons.
They purchase and transform the Baxter Building and practice their powers while stopping small time criminals. In Latvaria, Doom works tirelessly on his great invention combining the power of science and the ancient mysticism his mother taught him, The Armor of Doom!
Invited by the mayor to thank them for their heroic work, the four friends introduce themselves to the world as The Fantastic Four as they recieve the key to the city.
Suddenly, the ground erupts and from beneath the city emerges The Mole Man, his Moloid army, and a giant creature, Giganto! Mole Man declares he had let his anger and hatred of this city that rejected him years ago fade until he recieved a signal through the Earth that his time was now!
Thus, the huge battle through NYC begins!
The Fantastic Four are victorious and Mole Man captured while the Moloids and Giganto flee back underground defeated.
As news crews broadcast the scene of victory for the Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom stands staring at the tv in his new silver armor and emerald cape and declares:
"So, Richards, your flawed genius disfigures me and turns you and your little friends into celebrated heroes! Soon, the world will know that the name vengeance and it's new ruler is DOCTOR DOOM!!!"

The trilogy would move on with:

THE FANTASTIC FOUR: ATLANTIS ARISES

Story-

Wizard, at hiring and funding of Doom, lays siege to NYC and the Fantastic Four just miss catching every time they stop him.
Namor seeks the source of the seizmic wave that nearly devastated Atlantis and tracks it to Latvaria. After an angry exchange, Doom convinces Namor that Reed Richards was responsible trying to destroy Latvaria under the guise of helping it all to eliminate the target of Reed's jealousy, Doom himself!
Namor leaves to take his war to Richards and finds himself infatuated by Sue, which ultimately provides the means to calmer heads prevailing to realize the truth. Wizard uses the distraction to take out all but Human Torch and it is Torch who finally takes Wizard down.
Meanwhile, Doom enjoys the irony and sends his minions to follow Namor's flight in to find and loot Atlantis!

and conclude with:

THE FANTASTIC FOUR: VENGEANCE OF DOOM

Story-

Another Doom experiment pays off in the form of his space vessel, the Doom Bringer, when he sends a newly hired exiled Russian scientist and the scientist's trio of genetically enhanced primates on the exact course the Richards Rocket took and they return endowed with great powers. Doom sends them to destroy the Fantastic Four as he plots his checkmate move.
The Fantastic Four chase the Red Ghost and his primates through NYC before finally taking them down.
Doom launches his revenge by sending his Doom Drones to assault the Baxter Building. Using stolen Atlantean technology, Doom creates a device to sink the eastern US after he personally destroys the Fantastic Four!
Realizing the identity of the assailants on his kingdom and sensing the artifacts stolen being used, Namor races to NYC to join the battle but, Reed sends him to stop the device while they settle things with their former friend!

**************************Option 2: FORWARD*****************************

FANTASTIC FOUR: WORLD'S GREATEST HEROES

Story-

As the movie opens, The Fantastic Four have been doing the hero thing for a few years and we find them turning over another villain to authorities. They return to the Baxter Building where Alicia Masters welcomes Ben with a hug and Frankie Raye welcomes Human Torch with a kiss.
During this brief down time, Ben(38) tries to deal with the nightmares he has of that fateful origin day. Sue(29) tries to figure out if their powers will affect her chance of having children with Reed(34), after he asks her to marry him. Reed tirelessly works to find a way to return them to normal while flashing back to that day and recalling every step to see where he went wrong. Johnny(27) tries writing the story from his perspective to sell as his own movie with him playing himself.
Doctor Doom, on his throne in Latvaria, recalls the day Richards' failed experiment exploded, disfiguring him while he was studying abroad in the US and how it ended any chance he had to win Sue Storm. He contacts his minions to see if they have everything in place and ready for what he believes will be his final revenge on the Fantastic Four!
Late one evening, Thing and Alicia, Johnny and Frankie, and Reed and Sue ponder their relationships when the Baxter Building is shaken up pretty good! After the shaking stops, they all race to the control room and discover a missle had been launched from right beside the Baxter Building and was headed to the moon but, it was too far away to stop!
They watch the sensors as the missle goes behind the moon but does not circle back around. A minor blip registers the explosion of the missle but, sensors indicate the moon is okay. Unable to locate those responsible or the apparatus the missle launched from, the friends turn in for the night.
Morning at the Baxter Building is explosive as beings begin assaulting it at sunrise! The heroes race out and find themselves confronted with The Inhumans, strange beings intent on destroying them for attacking their home on the blue area of the moon and nearly killing their leader!
A huge battle ensues between the Fantastic Four and Inhumans Karnak, Medusa, Gorgon, and Crystal!
During the battle, more Inhumans arrive but, one of them orders the attackers to stop. The Fantastic Four, though weary and worn, stand ready for round two but, the new arrivals put an end to the conflict. They identify themselves as Arcadius, Avia, and Black Bolt, their leader, with Lockjaw in tow.
Arcadius reveals they detected the launch but, were not able to analyze it before Medusa sought revenge for the injuries to her husband, which were easily healed. Avia tells them they analyzed their readings and saw the missle was launched from a land vehicle platform beside the building and they have been tracking it and its occupants.
The Fantastic Four and Inhumans gather together and Lockjaw teleports them all to where the missle operators fled to: Latvaria and the throne room of Doctor Doom!
Doom rises from his throne in anger but, realizes he should not have been surprised and has a surprise of his own! His new alllies!
From a door emerge the Inhumans Maximus the Mad, Aireo, Falcona, Leonus, Stallior, Seeker, and Timberius! Doom Drones also emerge and the battle begins and spills out of the castle and into the Latverian country side!
The good Inhumans coral Maximus and his cronies into a group and Black Bolt unleashes his power at them, rendering them unconscious! While the others secure the prisoners, Black Bolt, Gorgon, and Karnak wipe out the remaining Doom Drones and join the Fantastic Four to chase an injured Doctor Doom into his caste. As the heroes stand outside, Black Bolt unleashes his full fury on the castle, leveling it.
The Fantastic Four digs Doctor Doom out of the rubble. Reed tells him it's over and a beaten Doom collapses amidst the rubble as all the heroes leave.
Atop the Baxter Building, the Fantastic Four and Inhumans share a farewell after forging an alliance. Lockjaw teleports the Inhumans home and the Fantastic Four descends into their home.
Behind and above them dark clouds begin filling the sky!

The trilogy would move on with:

FANTASTIC FOUR: BEHOLD GALACTUS

Story-

The Silver Surfer arrives and begins testing the planet. The Fantastic Four attempt to communicate and, when his actions cause harm, to stop him and his actions. This battle is fierce and ends up knocking Norrin Radd back to himself.
After some discussion, Silver Surfer informs the heroes of his purpose and what is coming! He pledges to try and help stop his master, Galactus, from devouring Earth.
Galactus arrives and a battle ensues that sees the Inhumans come to aid and also sees Doctor Doom dispatch a horde of Doom Drones to help with a message to Reed that "it's only because the Earth will be mine!"
Surfer manages to get Galactus to stand down on one condition: he must have a herald to find him sustenance! Frankie Raye, who had been manning the gun turret on the Fantastic Flyer, steps forward, telling Johnny it was fun but, now she has a higher purpose! Johnny and Crystal catch each others eye!

and conclude with:

FANTASTIC FOUR: THE KREE-SKRULL WAR

Story-

Both alien races converge on Earth to obtain it as a strategic foothold against the other! Ronan the Accuser and Kl'rt the Super Skrull lead their respective armies and the war lands on Earth!
The Fantastic Four attempt to intervene but, they are shocked to see the Super Skrull possesses their powers! Captain Mar-Vell, a Kree who dislikes war and believes the two empires should stop expanding upon free people, attempts to broker a truce!
In the end, the combined might of the Fantastic Four, the Inhumans, Silver Surfer, Doom Drones, and Captain Mar-Vell's followers from both sides cause enough damage that the Kree Supreme Intelligence and Skrull Queen are forced to work a truce with Reed, Black Bolt, and Mar-Vell overseeing!
As the alien forces return home, Doctor Doom confronts the Fantastic Four atop the Baxter Building with a warning: "I am Doom! I will rule this world!" He flies off as the team enjoys a good laugh!

some of these are solid choices. Others suck. Sean William Scott and Liev Schreiber are two different people.

DISCLAIMER-The picture for Ben Grimm/The Thing-Seann William Scott is Liev Schreiber. This mistake was due to this picture being labeled as Seann Willaim Scott on a picture search.

@RedHood13 I really wish people would tell me which castings they think "suck" and why. That way I could convey my reasonings for my choices. I also wish they would comment on the story/plot as castings are always subject to change.

Again, another saying the casting is horrible without offering reasons why. Unlike the other Fan Casts on here, I use a very strict criteria, which does not include the popular choices who people want because they look the part.
I select my castings based on acting ability, range of type, characterization talent, how well they could handle the role, how well they would fit the part by personality and look, and, the proper age range to maintain at least a trilogy.
@LibertaRodriguez If your FF1, FF2, and FF3 are for individual movies then you are committing what kills CBMs: villain overload. Think Batman & Robin and Spiderman 3.
