Hawkeye/Clint Barton- Jeremy Renner
Clint Barton was an orphan, and ran away from the orphanage as a teen to join the circus as a carnival performer, where he was trained in the use of the bow and arrow by the Swordsman and Trickshot. When he discovered that his mentors were both criminals he rejected them, leading to a beating by Swordsman which left Barton badly injured and hospitalized.
As Barton got older he began to steal to survive, eventually his skills in archery and acrobatics aided him in becoming a professional thief. However, he meets a S.H.I.E.L.D agent known as Natasha Romanoff aka The Black Widow, whom he falls in love with. She convinces him to join S.H.I.E.L.D and use his skills for good not evil. Inspired by Iron Man (who he would later have a disgruntled relationship with) Barton donned the guise of Hawkeye and was later asked by Nick Fury to join the superhero team the Avengers. Hawkeye accepts and in the teams early days aids Fury and Stark in recruiting people for the Avengers.
I chose Renner because after seeing 'The Hurt Locker' he completely won me over, and I saw that he can be cocky, rude, arrogant but somehow charming and heroic and brave. Renner is also the most likely to get the role considering he has already talked with Marvel about the part.

Crossfire/William Cross- Gary Oldman
William Cross is a former CIA operative and master of brainwashing techniques, out to save the world by destroying all superheroes. He forms his own private army, and becomes a professional subversive and criminal entrepreneur with his company, Cross Technological Enterprises.
Oldman is a top-notch actor, nobody can doubt that. I think he plays a villain best and for some reason he reminds me of Crossfire. He'd do a great job, in that I have NO doubt.

Trick Shot/Buck Chisholm- Matt Dillon
Trick Shot began his professional criminal career as an assassin, working as an archer in a travelling circus. There, he met a teenage boy named Clint Barton, who would later become the master archer and Avenger Hawkeye. Although Swordsman had been training the young boy in the art of throwing knives, Swordsman thought the boy might have more value to him as an archer and arranged for Trick Shot, then the star attraction of Carson's Carnival of Travelling Wonders, to take over his training.
After the Swordsman robbed the carnival's paymaster to pay off gambling debts, Clint Barton came upon him counting the money and the Swordsman tried to kill Barton, seriously injuring him before Trick Shot intervened and saved his life. Once Clint recovered, Trick Shot involved him in an extortion scheme, which coincidentally involved the man that loaned money to the Swordsman. Trick Shot killed the man, and Barton shot one of the guards with an arrow — the guard turned out to be Barton's older brother Barney. Shocked by what he had done, Clint rebelled and the two archers shot at each other. The more experienced Trick Shot impaled Barton on a tree and told him that he would come back to kill him.
I chose Matt Dillon because in my opinion he has the right physique, look and stature for the part. Trick Shot is not a very well known villain and so what he looks like is not such a big deal. Dillon is also a big name and it seems to be that marvel villains are big names in the business such as Jeff Bridges, Tim Roth, Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell and possibly Hugo Weaving. Matt Dillon would fit in nicely as a Marvel rouge.

The Swordsman/Jacques Duquesne- Viggo Mortensen
Jacques Duquesne, trained Clint Barton, the future Hawkeye, after accepting him, but rejecting his brother Barney to a circus, where the two were working as carnival performers alongside the archer called Trick Shot. When Clint accidentally discovered that the Swordsman was stealing money, the two fought, the Swordsman leaving Barton as he believed him to be dead. He would go on in life as a professional criminal and assassin. He would later re-encounter Barton, now a full pledged member of the super-hero group 'The Avengers' and under a new alias 'Hawkeye' and the two rekindled their fight from years ago, only this time the playing field is much more even.
Viggo Mortensen is a fantastic actor, and, in my opinion looks like the Swordsman. Despite his age he is still fit and also plays a magnificent villain. I think the Swordsman is best suited for him, he'd make an interesting and dynamic comic book baddie.

Nicholas “Nick” Fury- Samuel L Jackson
Nicholas Fury became the commander of S.H.I.E.L.D. Initially, his organization's primary nemesis is the international terrorist organization HYDRA. Under Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D. grows into one of the world's most powerful organizations, reaching covertly into national governments and forming strategic alliances with the Avengers and other superhero groups, while always maintaining independence and deniability. Fury soon becomes the superhero community's main contact when government-related information is required in order to deal with a crisis.
Nick Fury invites Barton into becoming a member of S.H.I.E.L.D after much persuasion from the Black Widow. He accepts and he performs extremely well on all missions he is sent on under Fury’s order. Fury then realises that Barton is more than simply a S.H.I.E.L.D agent and asks him to join and assist in creating the ‘Avengers’.
Why mess with perfection? Sam’s already been cast as Nick Fury and for both continuity’s sake and the sake of losing Samuel Jackson as Fury, I’m keeping him.

Gabriel "Gabe" Jones was born in New York City. He is an original member of the elite Howling Commandos combat squad. He is one of the close confidantes of Nick Fury, his sergeant and later the head of the international espionage organization S.H.I.E.L.D., which Jones joined at some unspecified point after his friend Nick joined.
He appears briefly talking to Nick Fury as he prepares to meet General Ross to discuss using Blonsky aka the Abomination to track down the Incredible Hulk.
Denzel is another amazing actor, why not pick the best? He looks like Gabe and he has the same cocky and satirical nature of Gabe too. He would appear briefly in Hawkeye discussing the Hulk as in my version of the Incredible Hulk 2 Gabe would feature quite prominently.

Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff- Scarlett Johansen
Natasha Romanoff is a former KGB spy and assassin, nicknamed the Black Widow, she later became an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and rose through the ranks until she became Fury’s top agent. Her first assignment from S.H.I.E.L.D was to infiltrate Stark Enterprises and steal special files from Stark’s possession which would allow S.H.I.E.L.D and the government to re-create the Iron Man amour for the army. However she fails in her attempt after growing a fondness for Tony.
Despite having strong feelings for Tony, Black Widow formed a romantic relationship with a professional criminal named Clint Barton, the later Hawkeye, she persuaded Clint to join S.H.I.E.L.D and persuaded Nick to actually offer him a place there. After he accepted, he too rose through the ranks until he actually became an official member of the Avengers rather than just a S.H.I.E.L.D agent.
She’s already cast and I think she’s going to do a good job.

Jimmy Woo is a Chinese-American S.H.I.E.L.D agent who was once a well respected member of the FBI. He upgraded to S.H.I.E.L.D and ever since has been under the leadership of Dum Dum Dugan. Dum Dum had assigned Jimmy to take care of Clint Barton’s needs while he recovered after his battle along-side the Avengers against Loki. Jimmy reluctantly agreed but did not like being the personal assistant to a superhero, however once Jimmy and Clint got to know each other they became friends and even after Clint fully healed, Jimmy remained Clint’s confidante.
I altered the character of Jimmy Woo to make him fit within a Hawkeye movie, I chose Daniel Wu as I think he has the right look for the role. Also despite being American and his first language being English he is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese, don’t know if that would come into the film at all though.

Dugan was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Dum Dum was a former CIA agent who gained strong connections to Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D, Dugan later joined S.H.I.E.L.D after being offered a membership into Nick’s elite ‘Howling Commando’s’. Although Dugan is known for being wild and unpredictable during combat he is completely and utterly loyal to Fury, and Fury alone.
After Hawkeye was injured in a battle along-side the Avengers, Dum Dum assigned Jimmy Woo to look after him. Dugan also met with Hawkeye on a number of occasions including debriefing Barton for special missions when Fury was absent or elsewhere.
I chose Woody Harrelson because to me he is a fantastic actor and he looks the part. I updated Dugan quite a bit to make him fit within the film universe which included making him slightly younger.

Silencer, as his name suggests is also completely silent and mute.
I chose Ray Park because he’s pretty much the ‘go-to guy’ when it comes to silent acrobatic roles, it could just as easily be a stuntman since in the comics his face is also never revealed.

Iron Man/Tony Stark- Robert Downey Jr (cameo)
Tony Stark is the head of Stark Industries, a major military contracting company which he inherited when his parents died in a traffic accident. Tony himself is an engineering genius, having earned multiple degrees and awards for his company's advanced technological products, the vast majority of which he has invented. However, Stark is also a heavy-drinking, womanizing playboy with problems with authority. After Stark presented a demonstration of a new powerful Stark weapon in a war-torn Afghanistan, he and his convoy are attacked and Stark is critically wounded by a bomb of his own design.
Waking up in an Afghan cave, he discovers he has been captured by a terrorist group known as the Ten Rings. He also finds an electromagnet embedded in his chest, placed there by fellow captive Dr. Yinsen. Powered by a car battery, it keeps shrapnel from working its way to his heart and killing him. The Ten Rings leader, Raza, orders Stark to build a "Jericho" missile for him, and upon its completion Stark will be freed.
Instead, during his three months of captivity, he and Yinsen begin secretly building a crude suit of armor, powered by a miniature "arc reactor" which also acts as the replacement for the car-battery powering the electromagnet in his chest. After escaping the facility by use of the armor, Stark upgrades the suit to a streamlined and stylish battle armor. He then goes under the guise of ‘Iron Man’ and begins a crime fighting career. Stark has long been associated with S.H.I.E.L.D designing most of their weapons and having a strong relationship with the organization’s head Nick Fury. He is also a founding member of the Avengers.
He first meets Clint through Nick Fury and although the three of them work together in recruiting members of the Avengers, the two dislike each other almost instantly.
Robert Downey Jr IS Iron Man, great actor, great performance as the golden avenger…no-one in the right mind would want to replace him.
